“Kurt! Stop staring!” Finn whispered loudly as he elbowed his stepbrother. “It’s not polite. And what if that guy’s homophobic?”
Kurt jumped slightly as he felt Finn’s sharp elbow connect with his ribs. He turned to look at Finn just long to send him a venomous glare before turning back to stare at the man once more.
The man was tall with brown hair and hazel eyes and looked to be in his early thirties. He was wearing a nice suit and was talking to a shorter, slightly dorky-looking dark-haired man. As though feeling Kurt’s eyes on him, the man turned to look at them.
Kurt flushed and looked down as he was caught staring.
“Shit,” Finn hissed and Kurt looked up to see the two men walking toward them.
“Hello,” the man Kurt had been staring at greeted flirtatiously while his friend rolled his eyes.
“H-hi,” Kurt replied.
“See something you like?” the man asked and Finn looked back and forth between the two uncertainly.
“Sorry,” Kurt said. “It’s just…You look like Rage…” he finished in a whisper.
Both men let out a surprised laugh which caused Kurt to blush even more and Finn to look confused.
“Who?” Finn asked.
“Comic book superhero,” Kurt told him, still blushing.
“Gay comic book superhero,” the shorter man corrected.
“Oh,” Finn muttered before looking confused once more. “There’s gay superheroes?”
“Not many,” the shorter man said. “Which is why me and Justin created Rage. And based him on Brian.” He nodded toward the suited man.
“You’re Michael Novotny?” Kurt asked, eyes wide. Michael nodded and Kurt turned his gaze back to Brian. “And Rage is based on you?”
Brian nodded and Kurt squeaked slightly, earning him an amused look from both Brian and Michael.
“Wanna experience some of my superpowers?” Brian asked Kurt with a leer causing the younger boy to squeak once more.
“Brian! Leave the kid alone,” Michael said. “He looks younger than Justin did when you two met. Hell, he’s probably not even legal.”
“Actually, I am,” Kurt said without thinking, his eyes going wide when he realized what he’d said.
“See, Mikey, he’s legal,” Brian said, eyes still on Kurt.
Finn glared at Brian. “I don’t like the way you’re looking at my brother,” he stated lowly, moving to stand closer to Kurt. “And I don’t think his boyfriend would either.”
Brian sighed. “No one lets me have fun anymore,” he complained.
Michael rolled his eyes. “Come on. Mom’s expecting us for Sunday night dinner,” he said.
“Fine, fine,” Brian sighed as they turned to leave.
“Wait!”
Brian and Michael turned around to look at Kurt once more.
“Change your mind?” Brian asked with a smirk.
Kurt blushed and shook his head before reaching into his bag and pulling out the newest copy of Rage. “I…would you two sign this for me?” he asked.
They both nodded and Kurt quickly fished a sharpie out of his bag as well before handing both over.
A few minutes later and Kurt was watching the real-life version of Rage walk away while he held a signed copy of the comic in his hands. As soon as the two men had turned the corner and Kurt was sure they were out of earshot, he let out a squee to make any fangirl proud.
