Well, this feels like old news at this point, but I have officially graduated with a Ph.D. in computer science from UNC. It's great to be done, but man, writing the dissertation was definitely the hardest thing I've done in my life ( Read more... )

I gave an informal talk yesterday titled "Using Perl on the Command Line". I also turned my notes into a little tutorial. If you're interested, read the article here. It's pretty elite command-line stuff, yo. :-)
