Trip to Italy day 1 & 2
hey guys, long time no see XD
last week I have been to Italy for the second time in my life but this time with my family and we booked a trip for one week
every night another hotel, every day a new city
it was amazing
and hot...
and I took a shitload of pictures XD
we start our trip on 12th of Aug. at 4 am
yes 4 AM!!!!
the bus was waiting in Dresden so we had to drive there first
in Dresden we got into a big white bus and drove to Leipzig where we picked up the tour guide and the rest of the group
next stop was Nürnberg/Nuremberg where we picked up our last groupmembers and then we went straigth to Italy
62 vietnamese tourist, 2 german drivers and 1 german tourist... we were a funny sign
at around 9 pm we arrived at our first hotel in Verona. Hotel "Turismo" was nice and clean. because we arrived so late the kitchen was already closed so we ate some cup ramen in our rooms and went to bed soon.
I was sharing the room with two boys, my brother and my cousin.
the next day we visited Verona where the sad lovestory of Shakespear's "Romeo and Juliet" took place
I already knew that neither Romeo nor Juliet ever lived and that Shakespear never went to Verona in the first place so I also knew that the houses of Romeo and Juliet we visited were clearly a fake, I mean they even build a balcony onto Juliet's house because actually it didn't have a balcony at all (and the balcony wasn't really a balcony but a coffin)
and the statue of Juliet
they say, if you touch Juliet's stature on the right spots you will be lucky with your lovelife and if you visit it together with your boy/girlfriend your love will be eternal
funny thing: all the male tourist touched her breast
and Romeo only got a cheap looking sign saying: "This is the house of Romeo"
we also visited an amphitheater which was used for gladiator figthing in the past and now is used as a theater where they perform AIDA and CARMEN
there were a lot of showman on the streets too
something special about Verona was its wine and rose colored marble
it really looked pretty: on the right side you see roseVerona marble
we went through a small alley filled with expensive shops and designer clothing
and I found a shop selling LupinIII stuff XD
I never knew he was that famous XD
next stop was Pisa
we also took the obligatory "pushing the tower" pictures
and while my brother tried to save the tower... I am more evil XD
if you are really close it doesn't really look that crooked
after that we had dinner in an asian restaurant because a lot of tourist were from Vietnam and our guide wasn't sure if they could take the european food
it was the same concept as in the restaurant in germany
there were warm buffets, fresh fruits, sushi and raw foods which they cooked fresh in front of you eyes
that was my first plate of 4 XD
it was really delicious
our hotel for the night had a beautiful view
and we were the only ones with a balcony XD
it reminded me a bit of Vietnam... hight ceilings and the sound of busy streets outside
as a matter of facts, I went outside with some newly made friends and we took a look around the city
and found THIS:
an automat selling empty bottles... yes empty bottles XD
we were wondering why they would put up such a useless machine but then we saw the sign
so the machine sold empty bottles that can be filled with milk at the automat next to it (that sure would be a automat Link would use)
at last we sat outside a club sipping some drinks before going back to the hotel
next entry will be about Rome and the Vatican
