As I mentioned in my first post, I'm rather new to this series. I'm catching up (much love to vain_chan ^.^), but I'm having a hard time waiting til I've found out all the canon to write a fic.

So I'm just wondering if the following passage doesn't contradict anything stated in the series (I'd love for any other errors to be pointed out as well. ^^;;)

Title: Untitled
Rating: Not Rated
Pairing(s): None yet

There was a scuffle in the corner. A scuffle that the scufflers was trying to be kept quiet, if the badly hushed whispers were any indication.

A scuffle between a young maou and solider.

"Wolfram? Yuuri? What are you holding?" Conrad called over the dull buzz of the tavern, leaning backward on the rickety bar stool to get a better look at the two.

Wolfram's eyes narrowed and Yuuri's widened. Immediate signs of guilt. "Why?" His brother shot back defensively.

"Because a wee little thing like you shouldn't be indulging in lodz for a good five more kilos." Yozak laughed, immediately identifying the dark green liquid that swished hectically at the bottom of the glass both were clinging to.

"Kilos?" Yuuri asked, ignoring the flame that was beginning to dance at Wolfram's fingers, "Kilograms?"

"The body weight required to drink lodz is 50 kilograms and Wolfram knows that." Conrad explained patiently.

Yuuri smiled, pulling the cup out of Wolfram's hands, "I'm 53 kilos."

The scowl on Wolfram's face grew impossibly deeper; his eyes dark, angry slits. Conrad began calculating exactly how much of the tavern was flammable and how long it would take to forcibly manhandle him away from innocent bystanders. "I fought just the same as you all, why don't I deserve the same rewards?!"

And it was true; it'd been a particularly tiring battle that morning, the sun giving little relief and their enemy outnumbering them 3 to 1. It was a surprise that half the men in the bar were in enough pieces to reap their reward. It wasn't that Wolfram hadn't pulled more than his own weight, and if earning were the question he'd be able to drink lodz until it was coming out ears.

Unfortunately for him, no matter how good he was in the battle field, that didn't change the proper drinking weight or the fact that he'd been shy of that by six kilograms for a frustrating twenty years.

"You'll notice that none of us are drinking lodz." Gwendal pointed out in a gruff voice, not bothering to look up from his own rather tame glass of ale.

"It's too heavy of a drink for a time like this." Conrad added, "Why don't you have some sake with us?"

Sake could be drunk at a mere 30 kilograms.

Shockingly, the scowl lightened to a pout and only then did Conrad notice the pinkish flush across Wolfram's cheeks. "How much have you two had?" He asked, his voice laced with tension.

Yuuri frowned in thought, "It was up to here when we got it," he said, pointing to the very rim of the near empty glass, "but Wolfram downed it to here, and then we spilt some, and then I drank it to here, and then we spilled the rest of it because he wasn't sharing. And I guess the rest is mine."

"Lodz isn't a very good starter drink," Conrad advised weakly, glancing over at Gwendal for advice. If what Yuuri said was at all accurate, the two were in for a very, very unpleasant night. Many believed lodz had only come into existence to assist in drunken, idiotic challenges and was meant for seasoned drinkers to nurse. And half a cup was more than enough to last a night.

"What knucklehead gave you two a full thing of lodz anyway?" Yozak asked, leaning over Conrad to remove the temptation. Yuuri gave it up without much of a fight, now looking over at Wolfram with interest.

"Hey, are you feeling alright?"

The rest of the story is almost finished, I just wanted to make sure the beginning wasn't utter babble before posting it all. :3

Many thanks!
