I rediscovered my childhood today!
My mother got a 60% off Border's coupon yesterday, in honor of the new year.
And I was like
"LET'S GO GET SOME POKEMON!"
But then the Borders' worker was like "Sorry, we don't have any Pokemon." And I was like
"Your online catalog said you had Pokemon. You LIED to me?!"
But another worker was able to find the Pokemon. And she was like
"It's dangerous to go alone! Take this."
And then the lady behind the checkout counter was like "Congratulations, you saved $22 today!" And I was like
Oh childhood, how I missed you...
I only spend my Christmas money on the best things.
Don't do drugs, kids. Or you'll end up like this.

All of these were from a single episode, by the way. There was also a frame where Misty's eyes literally popped out of her head. XD
In case you could not tell, I LOVE the first season of the Pokemon anime! Probably more for the nostalgia factor than anything else, though I'm still genuinely entertained by some of the episodes. (The Tower of Terror, anyone?) I used to have the episodes recorded on VHS tapes, but then the tapes started to get corrupted and I was forced to wipe some of them. Then the switch to DVDs happened and I could no longer watch the episodes since I didn't have a VHS player. It's taken me years to track down the boxed set for a decent price, since my local Borders/Waldenbooks will only give coupon discounts on in-store items (and no one wants to carry Pokemon DVDs).
