... because that is pronounced "exmas" (or "crossmas", based on your interpretation). Which is not how you say it. I know, I know, "tomato, tomahto"...
Anyway, I got to open my Christmas presents one night early, since we won't be at home for Christmas Eve.
The polar bear is a fuzzy Christmas card. It's cute~
Yes, that's a Rabbid. He's skewering sausages. XD
All I can say is: FJASDFJADFJ TASHIGI POP FIGURE! YAAAAY! I really didn't think I would get this, since my mom is kind of clueless on anime figures and buying from import sites.
More pictures with my bad camera, just because I can.
I love Tashigi, especially her little obsession with Zoro. She and Smoker really need more frequent appearances. I miss them. ;__;
Also, has anyone on my f-list played Epic Mickey? Did you like it? I read some reviews, but they were kind of mixed. (The camera and controls aren't the greatest, apparently. But the premise looks interesting.) My parents have always said "feel free to exchange/return a gift if you don't like it" when it comes to things that weren't on my Christmas list. I'm debating whether to open the game or wait until I play a demo first, since I'm not sure if I'll like it, and I'm not sure if I could return it after it's opened.
I also got Christmas cupcakes from my best friend. They are chocolate with peppermint and chocolate chips mixed in. The beautiful green icing was done by yours truly. I promise they taste better than they look. Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately) there are only four left. I think I already ate six or seven of them today. :x
My mother and I have been on a movie-watching spree since we got home. We watched Megamind yesterday (my second time seeing it, her first), which is quickly becoming one of my favorites. We saw Tangled today, and I think she's dragging me to the new Narnia movie sometime this week. I was planning to see Harry Potter with her, but she has a snake phobia, and I don't know how she'd handle the snake scenes.
- I usually hate animal sidekicks, but Pascal (the chameleon) was adorable.
- I can't believe that Flynn got off the hook for his crimes. My mother said that he probably got a royal pardon, but still, it seems kind of like a "too good to be true" ending.
- So Flynn's real name is Eugene Fitzherbert? That's kind of... unfortunate. Flynn Rider sounded a lot cooler.
- It's nice that Rapunzel had magical tears. I was expecting the standard magical kiss.
- I STILL say that Disney should have chosen hand drawn over CG for this movie. My mother got to hear me rant about this on the way home.
- Also, I cringed at some of the water and grass. The water varied between decent and "why did you use a particle system for this?!" The grass looked fine from afar, but in a closeup scene it looked like shaggy green fur. (Which is basically what CG grass is, but they could at least tweak the parameters a bit to make it look nicer.)
- Naveen is still my favorite Disney prince. Sorry, Flynn. I wanted to like you, but you were kind of annoying. D:
And speaking of annoying, five minutes before the movie started, this little girl sat in the seat next to me. Throughout the ENTIRE MOVIE she was smacking her lips, fidgeting, giggling, and/or staring at me. At one point, in the middle of a somewhat serious scene, she even started singing. I wish parents would keep their little kids at home if they can't keep quiet through a two hour movie.
I will be gone for a few days to the land of basements and five-year-olds and an uncle who always wants to know "have you found a boyfriend yet?", so I'll just wish everyone a merry Christmas now. Hope you have a good one! (:
