I was re-heating some cheese dip in the microwave when I heard a loud pop about 3 seconds after I hit "start". I turned to see what it was, and exactly when I turned, I heard another pop and watched as a spark caused the cheese dip/paper plate to burst into flames. Thankfully the flames went out as soon as I stopped the microwave. Still, who would have thought that microwaving something for less than five seconds could start a fire?
I think the moral of this story is "microwaves are scary". Never again will I try to re-heat cheese dip. I'll just eat it cold from now on.
And I'm still not happy that I had to open the window to air out my room. It's COLD outside.
In other news, I'm debating whether to stay up late or wake up early to bid on a Y!J auction. I'm probably going to lose, but I'll regret it if I don't at least try.
Edit: Also, I've been having really strange dreams lately.
Two nights ago I dreamed that I found some broken Bulbasaur toy at a garage sale. And even though it was dirty/not in the best condition, I was still freaking out over it.
Last night I dreamed that my classmates and I got to fly on an airline where the planes were painted like Pokemon. I was sad that we weren't on the Kyogre plane. Then our plane almost crashed. The pilot managed to save the day and pulled into a Starbucks. Some crazy guy at the Starbucks pulled out a gun and started shooting at everyone on the plane. We were forced to take off again, even leaving a few passengers behind.
Then I dreamed that I was driving through my neighborhood (trying to run away from my house because my step-father wanted to kill me) except I almost crashed the car because my brakes weren't working. When I finally did find a hiding place, I met a boy who could transform into an elephant. Then I transformed into a wolf and we started fighting. The fight was getting out of hand when Aslan came and stopped us. He lectured us about violence, then told me that I should return to my abusive household since running away wasn't "the right thing to do."
Yeah... maybe it's something in the water...
