Though, in my defense, I was super sick for half of the day and I've had a headache for the rest of it.
I blame
mamoswine for telling me that the "blind bag" ponies aren't really blind bag. I am weak for sparkly ponies, so I bought three of them plus Bumblebutt, who is adorable. I was tempted to grab the standard size Bumblepony or Applejack while I was there, but I resisted. Which was probably good, since I barely have room for the tiny ones at the moment. Some day I will have enough space to display ponies and enough spare spending money to complete my collection of the main cast...
I also got my
awesome Zelda posters from Club Nintendo today. The only problem: I can't find frames for them. They're a standard frame size (24" x 30"), but apparently the size is not common enough to warrant cheap frames. I scoured my local stores, but the cheapest (and only) frame I found was $45. Yikes... especially considering I need three of them.
Hey f-list, do you guys know anywhere to buy cheap 24" x 30" frames online? Like, $15 a piece or less? I did manage to find
this frame on Amazon, but it has a lot of bad reviews and I don't recognize the company who makes it, so I'm kind of hesitant to buy it. The frames don't have to be fancy. They don't even have to be glass; I would prefer plastic, snap-together frames so they don't break in the mail. Basically, I just want something that will protect the posters from getting bent or creased when I hang them on my wall.
Oh, and while searching for frames, I wandered into Half Price Books. (I had never bothered looking in there before because I assumed they would have a bad selection, and any "good" books they did have would be in horrible condition.) I didn't find the series I was looking for, but I had a wonderful time browsing their YA and fantasy sections. I could have stayed in there all day and never gotten bored. I felt like a kid in a candy store. Why have I never checked this store out before?!
