Pushing onward
Hello, it's been a little while, as always. Nothing new is really going on. I have finished all my shows at the blackbox this summer and it was really fun and it's interesting to get back to normal life. When August hits it feels like summer is officially over. We had a couple of hot days this month, but it's pretty much cooling off. I want maybe one more week of semi-hotness so I can go to the beach. I'm trying to go to the beach on Tuesday.
I have 4 days off this week which totally sux!!!! I have no idea how I'm going to pay my bills if I don't pick up another day, but not Friday! I will come in Wednesday if they call me. Just not tomorrow. No, no no. I just worked 6 days str8 and I need at least one day off. Ideally I want to be called in Wednesday for an extra shift, but who knows, right? I would go in on Tuesday if they called and Wednesday. That's all they get. I have 31.5 hours two weeks from now which is good, except one of those days is in HARDLINES!!!! The dreaded hardlines! lol. If they have their own departments the day I work I'm screwed. I'm guessing they will though which sucks, because I know they will give me HBA or stationary and those are the WORST! Lol. But whatever. I'm gonna suck it up and just do it! It's for the money! Lol. But for this week I think I may have to use a vacation day. I have like 30-something hours left. We'll see. I need to pay this college loan and I feel broke and I owe my mom an unheard of amount in my book. Sigh.
Tomorrow I'm going to chill and just go to the library, I think. Try to clean up my hard drive. Do some laundry...boring stuff like that.
This Friday I'm going to be pretty busy. I'm trying to make an appearance at a friends art show and then go to Alicia's cook out and then my coworkers are trying to have a night out in New Haven and go to some clubs. So I'm crossing my fingers that I can juggle all three. I told myself that I'm giving up the club because the guys are shady and catty and just judgmental...as well as a little manipulative and backstabbing, but I'm trying to switch it up and stay in more. Summer is closing down and so it's not really a priority to get to the club. I ran the streets plenty and I suppose it's time to close it up for the summer. I will go to the city I think a couple of times it seems...there are some people here beckoning me to go. I went to Queens the other day for dinner with a friend. We drove their and it was pretty cool. I will do NY clubs, but I just don't really like CT clubs, but I will try to go to this one my ladies from work want me to go to. I've never been, so maybe it'll be different.
No music lately except that new Nina Sky, The Other Side EP is amazing! I love those ladies! I'm gearing up for Robyn's new album! Yes the second part of the Body Talk series, Body Talk pt 2 is coming as promised on Sept 7th and the first single "Hang With Me". It's a really cool video. I was singing it all last night. The acoustic version was released on part one, so I have that version already, but this one is cool and the beat is slick. I love robyn!
