DON'T GET ONE

Ok so without looking into it i purchased a Go card $10(paperless ticketing system) and put $50(non refundable) on the card, and went home online to activate it, and saw the error of my ways.

it cost the same as a single ticket each way every day.

I am a monthly ticket buyer my ticket usually cost around $84 from the 1st of the month to the 1st of the next month. With GO Card you are charged a single fair every time, so there is no return trip, weekly or monthly discounts. So if I use the ticked just to go to work thats around 22 workdays p/month and $2.70 each way $5.40 per day x 22days is $118.80 each month, thats $34.80 more each month, and if i travel to work for 10 months of the year thats $348 more per year. After my Non refundable credit is used up i'm going back to Paper.

The only people that are going to want these are people like me who catch tranport everyday, and now it's more expensive, and i had to invest $10 for the privilege.

I'm all for reducing paper etc but if it's going to cost me $348p/y you can stickit.

EDIT

MY BAD MY BAD..... I can't read

i interprited 6 trips as 6 days but there is 2 trips a day SO it's

2.7 x 6 (3days) = 16.2
1.35x 4 (2days) = 5.4

1 week = 21.6

21.6 % 5 (days)= 4.32

4.32 x 22 (workdays p/week) = 95.04

95.04 - 84 = 11.04

so i'm only being ripped off $11.04 p/w and p/y $110.40 in stread of the $34.80 and $348 to i originally thought.

... But it is still more
