Summary: Two men fall in love on a boat in 1912.
A/N - So I’ve been feeling a bit out of sorts lately; maybe it’s related to the heachaches, maybe not. But I haven’t really felt myself - which is why I’ve been MIA; though lurking in the background - I haven’t really felt like writing, reading or commenting. I’m sorry. This chapter has taken a couple of weeks to write - I’ve been having a problem with words lately - when writing I sometimes seem to write the wrong words - so if you see any feel free to point out. Sorry for the ramble.
‘We broke of the engagement’ the words rung throughout Scotty’ body; he felt the impact so strong that he tumbled backwards, hit the edge of his bed and fell on to it.
“Wh...wha...what?” Scotty managed to stumble out of his mouth; he couldn’t quite believe his ears.
“We broke of the engagement” Kevin repeated; he was waiting for a response from Scotty, some sort of sign that Scotty was pleased with the news and the situation.
“Really” Scotty said with hope and promise in his voice.
“Yes” Kevin said nodding his head with enthusiasm.
Scotty jumped off the bed and was in Kevin arms within two steps.
He passionately kissed Kevin and Kevin melted in his arms; he couldn’t imagine after all the anger that Scotty would kiss him. And kiss him like this; like the need for Kevin was more powerful than the need for oxygen, or anything else.
Scotty pulled Kevin backwards to the bed and Kevin went with him gladly; pulling at Scotty’s clothes as he went. He throws Scotty’s shirt on the floor, quickly followed by his own shirt and the remainder of their clothes.
Lips touched everywhere they could; hand felt everywhere they could feel.
In that moment there was only two people in the whole world; two people that became one, where their only concern was for each other and the pleasure that came with that moment.

“Is this real, or only a dream?” Scotty whispered into Kevin’s ear as they lay in bed after their love making session.
“If it is” Kevin said looking into Scotty’s eyes “I sure as hell don’t want to wake up” Kevin said smiling and the leaning over to kiss Scotty.
“That was so corny” Scotty said but continued to receive little kiss from Kevin as well as giving them to Kevin “though so true” he couldn’t help but have the biggest smile on his face.
Smiling at each other; they couldn’t stop sweet little kissing that became long intense kisses; then became even more passionate within a short amount of time. The power that came with those kisses demanded more affection; though the last time they were this intense with each other; Scotty was hurt and he didn’t want to be hurt again so he started to slow down the kiss so that he could talk to Kevin.
“Kevin” Scotty said tenderly.
“Scotty” Kevin answered sweetly.
“We should talk about...” Scotty stated trying to form the right words.
“Talk about what, Scotty” Kevin asked hesitantly and shy.
“About this...about where it’s going...about what you want from me” Scotty asked; he had never been so unsure of himself before.
Kevin smiled at the statement that Scotty had made; it was more of a question and Kevin knew what the answer was going to be.
“I want this Scotty” Kevin said smiling “not just being here and making love to you but the fact of just being next to you makes me happier than I could ever imagine. I want you by my side for the rest of my life” Kevin answered as honestly and he could.
Scotty nearly melted with the words that Kevin said but he had heard it before and he wasn’t sure if he could trust them.
Kevin saw the doubt on Scotty’s face and continued to prove to Scotty that he meant every word he said.
“Scotty, I don’t care about what my father does anymore. Yesterday was one of the worse days of my life; not being with you and hurting you, hurt me more than words could explain. My father can cut me off, he can disown me, he can ban every member of my family from ever seeing or talking to me and I just don’t care. I need you more. As long as you are by my side I know that everything will be okay. I love you Scotty, you’re the only person in my life that I can’t and will not live without; not for one more second” he said as sincerely as he could.
Scotty hoped and prayed that Kevin meant every word; with every word added Scotty grew more confident in Kevin. He coyly smiled and couldn’t help but give Kevin a quick kiss before saying “I love you too, Kevin”.
“So, New York, then” Kevin asked knowing that Scotty’s answer would be “Oh, yes” both of e them remembering their previous plans to move t New York together.
“I can get a job in a hotel there; all I have to do is agree” Scotty stated; he really did have the connections and the skills.
“Really?” Kevin asked slightly shocked.
“Well, I put the word out a couple of days ago but wasn’t sure about whether I should take it or not” Scotty said putting out the fact to Kevin that it was his choice.
“If you want it, I’d say take it” Kevin said carefully not wanting Scotty to take the job if he didn’t really want it though he wanted Scotty closer to him.
“I think I do, do you want me to” Scotty asked.
Both of them trying to determine what the other wants “I want you to do something that will make you happy”.
“Being with you will make me happy” Scotty stated simply.
Kevin smiled “Then take the job; come and be with me”.
Scotty smiled and kissed Kevin “I’ll tell him next time I’m at work”
“When do you need to get back then” Kevin wondered how long they had together.
“Not until tomorrow morning” Scotty said with a sly smile “I wonder what to do with the rest of the day” he asked Kevin innocently.
Kevin didn’t even try to act coyly or play the naive; instead he kissed Scotty and continued where they finished earlier.
