So some major changes in my life are coming.
Jon and I are taking the huge step and going to be living together. So it seems some time this spring I'm moving out to West Springfield. This makes the most sense everything considered.
- I will no longer live in the hole that is Worcester.
- I will no longer have to fight with neighbors and college students for parking at my house.
- I will no longer have to leave my kittens on weekends to go to Jon's.
- Getting to spend more time with Jon.
- I will have an hour long commute instead of a 20-30 minute commute.
- I have no idea what will happen to my house.
- I don't know what kitchen I'll be in for my feast cooking!
So the step to moving out west are:
- Find someone to rent my room.
- Tell Justin and Kristen my projected move in date.
- Move
- Find a job out in Springfield.
- Find someone to rent Becky's room.
So renting the house is my number one priority because of the trouble we had filling the rooms last year and now with Bruce not working and my mom collecting unemployment as she subs and volunteers (to complete her special ed certification), they REALLY can't afford to not get rent for even one month.
Finding a job has taken a back seat since I've calculated that getting my projected 3% raise will result in about $20 more per week (after taxes) that will almost pay for the raise in gas usage, therefore I can give Jon the money that I'm paying in rent now, which is the same amount as Justin and Kristen are paying. In the next year I expect the money going into health care and medical research to go up so therefore Baystate will likely be looking to hire more research techs....
My other concern is cleaning Jon's house enough so it doesn't smell like three unfamiliar female cats which will stress out Miss Lily. As we all know stressed out Lily Pie is NOT fun. I think it may be a good idea to get the
Feliway spray and spray down the whole house. A drugged kitty is a happy kitty and happy kitties pee in the litter box....
So the date of my moving is dependent on me finding someone to rent my room. My thought was March is too soon, May/June will be hard (really hard) to find someone to rent so April would be best. But we're throwing TWO events in April! This will be a busy spring.... Oy!
I think it will be good.
