How sad is it that this Friday and next Saturday will be the most thrilling of the month. Seriously... PATHETIC.
But let's see. Work work sucked for no other reason than the place was cold--by cold--I mean the weight room treadmills froze up--that's right--they had to unthaw them with a blow dryer. YEAH. Cold with a TERRIBLE DRAFT. SO I was bundled up---not looking so sexy--but hopefully cute.
I got my stuff done and went into the computer lab where Daniel already was. So I said my hellos, asked if they wanted food, and then I left again--only to run quickly back and take up game play. There were four of us, then three of us, then two of us waiting for more to come join the game. So Scott taught me how to fly--went through the moves, practiced with me, didn't outright kill me. VERY SWEET. VERY. He was sick though :( poor Scott. He looked misearable.
I gave him his solstic present--and he didn't at least seem freaked out. He sort of took it in disbelieving stride--which is better than most people. I showed him the different stones and what they meant. I told him to put out his hand and I placed them in it. And then we sorted through him. The first thing he said was "power rocks" and I was like GOOD BOY!!! So he got garnet (friendship, romance), blue lace agate (protection, healing which I made sure I mentioned), Tiger's eye for concentration and control; focus), Florite and Citrine that were spelled for good grades. I think that's it--all in a small deep red velvet bag. He smiled at me and told me he liked the bag the best--and I of course, never to be out done, told him that it was hard finding a masculine bag for the rocks--that they were all pretty girly. And he said, "Ahhh, I remember when collecting rocks used to be a guy thing to do now only girls do it?" I, of course, told him that I always did it, but was always a bit of a tomboy. He thanked me and put them in the small part of his back pack and said "see I'll carry them here." Which I guess is good...although he didn't sound happy about a Solstice present. He wanted a Christmas present--but that's next week. I hinted at this to him in e-mail but he was clearly looking lost. He was like "uhmmm yeah, uh, happy solstice or whatever" POOR BOY. It wasn't in a MEAN way--it was in a I'm lost and you're a little weird and we're in the computer lab alone type way. And probably--the I'm sick and want to go home...
But he didn't freak the fuck out which IS A BONUS to be fair...
I'm a crazy groupy it's true.
