All righty, I've read the first book so far. It is a lot better than I was expecting, certainly. I was expecting a pile of sparkly Mary Sue crap with no substance. It is twinkly, she is a Mary Sue, but there's enough good things happening elsewhere in it that I don't regret reading the thing.
