RBI Baseball

My old apartment-mate Raj was in town last night (he lives in Chicago now), so a bunch of us got together and went out for drinks at Redbones in Davis Square.  Got pleasantly sloshed as we reminisced about college and high school, and at the end of the night we headed over to John's place for a few nostalgic rounds of RBI Baseball.  Back when we lived together, RBI Baseball was the only video game that I could get Raj and Greg, my other apartment-mate, to agree to play.  The game requires a surprising amount of skill and reflexes, and for the most part the 3 of us used to be pretty evenly matched.  Not last night, though.  The Detroit Tigers (my team) went 4-0, culminating in a 17-4 landslide victory over the hapless Minnesota Twins and a close 4-2 win over Roger Clemens and the Red Sox.  Raj and Greg blamed my wins on the fact that I still play video games all the time and they don't, although I'd argue that if anything FFXI has dulled my gaming skills over the past few years.

We didn't leave John's place until 3 am, which is why I'm completely zoned out at work today and writing LiveJournal entries instead of fixing bugs.
