See, Jimmy, the undercover investigations only work when you're in drag. You should have sashayed up to Lex in a nice dress and maybe you would have gotten a little more access. :D (Too bad real life guys can't pull off the magical drag hotness that guys in comics can!)
I don't know about anybody else, but I think Chloe and Jimmy are adorable. I loved her being amused by him being clueless but trying to cheer him up and reassure him despite it.
Poor Jimmy though, exiled to the basement! Thankfully we know he'll be okay. Of course, I'm still wondering what's going to come of Chloe. We know she's not actually Lois, since Lois has shown up and is finally starting to show an interest in journalism, and since Chloe's invented for the show it means there isn't really a place for her in the existing future Superman mythos. I'm still afraid that they're going to end up killing her off; given how she and Lex have been at odds for a while and she's become Clark's in-the-know sidekick, I'm starting to worry that Lex is going to fully and completely be gifted villain status by offing poor Chloe. Woe.
One thing that strikes me as interesting about this episode is that Jor-El was only really able to pull off part of his plan for Clark/Kal-El by failing, in a sense.
Back in "Covenant" Jor-El tried luring Clark to accept his destiny with a young, pretty, blonde Kryptonian girl. Of course she turned out to just be a meteor shower victim that Jor-El manipulated, which of course was a bad move. Clark's not the type to respond well to that sort of manipulation, especially since it involved Jor-El using an uninolved party. But now by 'failing' to get Clark to kill Lex and prevent Zod's emergence, Clark ended up in the Phantom Zone where he met...a young, pretty, blonde Kryptonian girl! Who emerges from the PZ, finds Clark and-by showing him that indeed not all Kryptonians are Super Dicks and telling him about the non-AI Super Dad (plus sacrificing her pretty self)-convinces Clark to accept his destiny and go to Jor-El for training.
It's an interesting echo, and I think it really demonstrates how much Jor-El has good ideas, but implements them with a completely flawed understanding of things like boundaries, respect or Clark's emotional and moral reactions to things. Of course, given that all we've got left of Jor-El is apparently some sort of AI programmed to move Clark into his 'destiny' and created by an alien culture, I suppose it's not all that surprising.
Next week: Ollie goes crazy? I'm looking forward to the Lex vs. Ollie showdown. Mmmm, guns and arrows.
