We laid Chip's dad to rest on Saturday. We picked his mom up at eleven and it started to snow... and snow and snow. As we waited to leave for the cemetery the ground became covered. Chip joked that his dad was having the last laugh as he apparently thought the preachers just blather on and on at funerals and other occasions where they have a captive audience. Heh. The snow ensured a quick graveside service. The service at the funeral home lasted about an hour and then we headed over to the Grange for food and visiting with friends and family rarely seen outside of weddings and funerals.
Today we are helping Chip's mom get a new ID as she keeps losing her purse. The stress has made her memory problems worse lately.
I took some pics going through the pass. One looks kind of eerie and Chip says it reminds him of the game, Silent Hill. I'll try to attach it. Nope, I can't figure it out on my iPhone.
I think we will head back to Seattle tomorrow and give ourselves a day to putter around and fill up on oysters. Home on Thursday.
