Just a quick note to let you all know that we have arrived safely. We had to go through White Pass in the end as it was the only one open. It snowed steadily the entire way but the roads seemed fairly safe and traffic was reasonable. Poor Chip has acquired my nasty cold. I am finally starting to feel as though I might live through mine. I am happy to have my iPhone. Usually we have no Internet access out here.

The funeral is set for Saturday.
