Engrund
So, after years of sitting on a little fence, me arse is sore... so I'm getting off.
I'll be putting my condo up for rent for a year (at least) starting August 1st, and heading overseas to a foggy little town called London in the UK. Its a rash decision, but if you all know me, you know that's "how I do" anyway... Thankfully my family is supporting this decision 100% (my Mom's side...), I have dual citizenship from my Father so its a safe bet on the job/visa front. I'll be heading there with my Aunt and Uncle (whom I'm really close with) on the last week of July for 3 weeks, with a one-way ticket. For those 3 weeks I'll stay in a hostel in London and apply for jobs and a place to live, while they'll be on the east coast visiting family in Norfolk. I'm sure they'll spend a few days in London with me checking places out and shit like that. My family wants me to go for those 3 weeks and then come back before I REALLY leave, but I see that as $1000 worth of extra airfare I can avoid wasting and use towards renting a flat and feeding myself for a month... so I'm pretty sure that when I go with them, I won't come back. (I'm going to miss Daft Punk dammit!)
The goal is to pursue my career in production over there, hopefully being a "foreigner" will work out to my advantage...who knows. If things don't work out on the career front, I'll just bartend for a year I guess, perhaps outside of London as well. Gotta love the British Passport...I can work anywhere in Europe with that! Spain? France? Holland? This is so exciting! SHould probably check out Poland too.. or I'll be shunned by my Poles forever this time (I'm pushin' it pretty close with this latest stint I think.)
There's word of Julia perhaps joining me there at some point, but when that is I'm not quite sure. She also has dual citizenship from her Mother. I have a friend Jessica who I went to highschool living in London, I believe she's a photographer. (Its been a while.) I'll definately hook up with her once I get there and mi blokes Dean and Brooke, (even though they live in Manchester...). I have family in the east too so I won't be all alone not to worry! Even if I am... I'll be fine. I'm a tough cookie. ;)
Anyway, just wanted to tell y'all so that I can say its official now! Get ready for a really fun good'bye party...it could be a while guys! :( Penny will be here too for a month in June to say goodbye.. yaaay!
