So time for a new lock. Swam this morning at 24HF, and it was a pretty good swim. Got out, showered, got out of the shower. And then hear that some one's keys, in their bag in their locker (although it was unlocked) were stollen, and their van was then stollen. I used to lock my locker there, but everyone in the locker room is friendly and nice and I later quit bothering to lock it. And now this. *sigh* Guess I'll have to find another lock, since the one I used to use has been relocated to the garage (and now I have even more reasons to want it locked).
I hate when things like this happen. Not only is it craptacular for people involved, but it throws off my sense of balance in the world. Makes me more suspicious of everyone and removes my sense of safety. No, material possessions aren't everything. But things like my training journal, my bikes, my phone with all my contact numbers in it... there are reasons besides them just being items that would make it hard to lose them. And some or all of those things are often in my car. It's like after I totalled my car, and started wanted to leave my spear at home where it would be safe, and then the hills caught on fire, and the safe places lost that sense.
World, I do a good enough job of hating humanity on my own. You really don't need to encourage me.
