Ever since My Daughter finished airing in March, I've been keeping an eye on the new cdrama Waking Love Up (or "Love Waking Up" -- not sure what the official title is), which stars four members of my beloved My Daughter cast. I don't know much about the plot, but to be honest, the drama could have no plot at all and I wouldn't care. As long as Roy Chiu and Tang Yan are as cute as they always are (see above picture :D) and end up together, and Izz Tsui is not left all alone, I will watch it.
Luckily, the drama's
weibo posts at least three drama stills per day, which is more than enough to keep me happy.
Since I've been so caught up with that drama's news, the last thing I was expecting was for Baron Chen and Zhang Meng, two other members of the My Daughter cast, to be in another drama together. But apparently they're both going to be in the new adaptation of Gu Long's Horizon, Bright Moon, Sabre (天涯明月刀).
After the
disaster that was Meteor, Butterfly, Sword (Baron Chen's latest Gu Long wuxia drama), I was a little wary of putting my hopes in another one, even if Baron was going to be in it. But then I headed to the drama's baike page and saw this picture of Wallace Chung and I was sold.
True, the hairstyle isn't all that flattering, but I've wanted to see something of his ever since he did Royal Tramp with Huang Xiaoming three years ago -- makes me wish Xiaoming were in this as well, because I loved their scenes together. But Xiaoming's busy sorting out his Yue Fei drama, I'm sure. (Which I'm really excited about as well gahhhh.)
Anyway, Baron has luckily not been plagued with a bad hairstyle (that was one of the reasons Meteor, Butterfly, Sword made me want to cry). He actually looks really cute -- almost as cute as he did way back in Fated to Love You.
(Poor Wallace, that haircut really does not suit you. ;__;)
I'm also interested in knowing what the hell is going in this picture...
Unfortunately, I know nothing about the story, but there is a fan translation of the novel at spcnet, so I might check that out when I have the time (which does not seem to be soon -- curse you, summer school!).
