I have QuickTime Pro and the latest version of iTunes. You would think that converting an MPG to MP4 format wouldn't be that much of a big deal.
Would you?
Wrong.
There's a little problem. QuickTime can not export the audio from a "muxed" track format which is what all of my Studio mpg files are. (Don't ask me what muxed means. I just know that's what the problem is.)
Thankfully, the internet is full of helpful geeks who point the way to sofware to fix the problem. Videora iPod Converter for PCs (and MPEG Streamclip for Macs).
And to permanently solve the issue, an upgrade to Studio v. 10.5.
