Is Clark going to see this and go charging in or will he wait for Lex to get home? Or?

Well, you know Clark. He's not one to think things through rationally.

But then again. Lex was on his way home. Could be that he would think to call first and start ranting about his morning with Bruce and happen to mention the problem with Parasite himself.

I'd like Lois to show up at the farm. The idea of Clark in the suit while being about five or six months along isn't pretty. (It would give Bruce too much ammunition.)

And Lois should never see him like that. She should only see him in the tasteful male maternity wear that Lex had specially designed for him. (Come on, Lex knows Hollywood costume designers that he could have pitched the idea to.)

Yes, Lex is much more comfortable with communicating now, especially with Clark, so I have no problems picturing him on the way home, wishing Clark was right there with him, and so calling him and then going into the whole rant about what happened.

Clark would have at least one foot in the suit as this conversation goes on; as reason dawns I can see him pulling the suit off his leg, balling it up and stuffing it under their bed *G* (or somewhere that Lex will find it later, at a time when it will be amusing).

Lois at the farm? Oh, god yes, please - Lois Lane vs. Helga - I know who my money is on *G*.

And well, yeh, Lex got Clark tasteful regular clothes at the first opportunity ("My wedding gift from you is..." "CLOTHES, Clark, real clothes. Humor me.") so I'm sure he had the maternity stuff ("We need something er, fashionable, but understated, tasteful but...expandible," he'd tell the designers).

Is it OK if I do it? I thought I'd get started this evening, and then finish it up in the morning and you can take a look - I'll post it in here.

It was like being on auto-pilot, Clark dropped the streudel he was sneaking, left the main part of the Kent house, and was in the large addition at the back, and had leg entirely into The Suit, in the time it would've taken most people to complete an eye blink ( ... )

Clark started to smile, then realized there were unusual sounds emanating from the direction of his mother's kitchen. "Lex, somebody's here - Helga is raising her voice ( ... )

"HOLY SHIT SMALLVILLE YOU'RE NOT FAT! YOU'RE PREGNANT!!!!"

Lex, please, think of the penguins! You can't send her to Antarctica.

OMG!

Please let Helga shoot Lois! Sort of accidentally on purpose?

"You are SO busted, Smallville."

Lois, you just signed your own death warrant.

Poor Lex! Poor Helga!

And Clark!

I think Clark should really be Not Feeling Well. He's had it so easy so far - let's give him the third trimester from HELL. Lex will be so frazzled, he'd lose his hair, if he had any.

Oh, I agree that Clark should have the third trimester from hell. Everything from Kryptonian pre-eclampsia to very weird cravings.

And then there's Lois to deal with.

Query about continuity:-

Damn right you can't."
"I knew about Parasite, though."
"I thought you said Bruce hadn't called you? So help me, if he got Diana or ...

Emerin, Clark never said anything about Bruce calling. Lex told him that he told Bruce not to call but Pretty Clark's responses were "What?"
So Lex's response above doesn't track exactly.

Thanks for the catch. We'll fix that in the beta.

This gets funnier every time I read through it. The five way argument -- Martha being a good hostess. Clark telling Lois that he's not her partner anymore. Lex threatening Lois left and right. Helga wanting Lois out of the house, refusing to feed her. Lois wanting her personal pet Clarkie back. And then the OMG moment.

This just keeps getting better and better guys! The fast paced arguments reminded me of those Cary Grant comedies from the thirties and forties with all of the witty, bullet-fast dialog. I loved it!

And, I agree, the third trimester from hell. No matter how the AI fiddled with Clark to make him able to get pregnant it still should be a strain on his system. Especially as Connor grows and demands more from him. Heck, Connors latent TK could even be a contributing factor. :)
