SV AU Fic: Kent Returns

This was a first page of an AU story that went a completely different direction.

I don't know where this story might have gone if I'd continued from this tangent.

Ohhhhhhhhhhh....I want more! I want more!!

The only parts of this idea I kept were the novel and Clark getting a Pulitzer for reporting out of the Middle East. I scrapped the rest of the idea.

I'll have to think about it and see if I can come up with a storyline to go with this.

I think you need to figure out why they broke up in the first place, then go from there.

Did they break up because Clark was becoming Superman or because Lex crossed the line one too many times?

Then, why do they get back together? Is Clark trying to save Lex from something or take him down?

I know that they broke up when Clark graduated with a degree in journalism. Clark had already written his first novel and was becoming financially independent. I suspect something happened to the Kents about this time. Clark left and ended up traveling the world. In the process, Clark Kent became a successful freelance journalist.

His return has something to do with his Kryptonian legacy and I think that Lex has gotten involved in that somehow. It will draw them back together, cause conflict and eventually get them back together.
