Popping In!

Popping in from the campus library computer lab to say: I LOVE MY NEW PLACE!

I plan on typing up notes from Slayage this week and getting them posted (the lack of internet at the home-base will mean a lot of campus library time) later this week!

In the meantime ((hugs)) to everyone, I hope you are all doing well (I'm commenting here and there when I can), here is some pic!spam that I made at work in the last few days (writing fic is completely beyond me right now, sorry!)

Amy/Rory/Tardis

Amy/Rory/Tardis set to Of Monsters and Men: Little Talks, which - ever since I heard it - has reminded me of them. My pagan friend complained that this one came out sad... but let's face it, folks - this love story isn't a happy one. It's difficult. Breathtakingly beautifully so ... and not in the normal way. This love is so different than love stories we get so often in television/film - Amy/Rory love each other. Period. There's never a question. Never a build up. Never a fault. They are completely pure in their love for each other. I've never before seen a couple in literature in which: if one exists, the other does. Eleven is dependent upon Amy to exist - her mind creates and sustains him. But Rory/Amy are intrinsically intertwined - they are a pair regardless of the circumstances. And that's going to be painful.

Sayid & Ana in "Collision" set to Smashing Pumpkin's "Disarm") ... after recording this episode with my podcast, and dealing with overwhelming Ana Lucia-hate, I felt the need to redeem her. Because I might love her. I need some input from the rest of fandom about this, is she all-around hated? Because ... the chiasmus of narrative that she and Sayid (and Jack) create is just... beautiful! (Also I have it in my head that Goodwin actually loved her... which just warms my doomed-ship heart.)

And another Kate set to Of Monsters and Men "Love, Love, Love ... just for the sake of HER BEAUTIFUL FACE!

[Well, maybe I'm a crook for stealing your heart away]
