Dear Musashi,
"There was a spider in my room and I killed it!! I feel soooo bad! But it was scary! Huge! It was really really scary!!"
"It's ok now."
"Really?"
"Yes, because I said so."
"Ok. But I still feel bad. I didn't want to kill it. But it just scared me so bad. It was so big that when I dropped it in the toilet it ran across the water!"
*gasp*"You killed Jesus!"
"I did not kill Jesus! It was big and ugly and he could climb on the cup and recluses aren't supposed to do that!"
"Jesus killer."
"Jesus would not come back as a spider!"
"Uh huh. Sure. The Christians hate you now."
It was nice of Pan to make light of it, but I really was disturbed by that spider. I'm really not exaggerating when I said it was huge, and scary. And I hate the fact that I killed it. I hate killing things, and it seems hypocritcal to kill only if the spider in question scares me. But the thought of the spider disturbed me for days after that. I could use that toilet for one thing.
I prayed for the spider though, even though it scared me. It bothers me that it disturbed me so much though, because I've never been too terribly arachnephobic, and what I did have I thought I had mostly under control.
Killing makes me feel sick. I don't want to do it again. I think next time, no matter how big and scary it is, I'll still flick it outside. Hopefully.
kwishin.
