Twilight - TEAM JACOB: because bad girls need big bad wolves
All right... Since the world has gone crazy over these silly Twilight stories, let me tell you what I think of them (as if you wanted to hear me complain pffft).
Bella Swan is the most insufferable character I had the displeasure of reading about. She is vain, dependable, insecure, retarded and thinks the world revolves around herself. Come on! Is that the kind of message we want to pass on to the teenagers? That a woman is less than a woman if she is older than 18 or ugly? That her boyfriend should be rotten rich and handsome as a supermodel or he is no good at all? That being with that said boyfriend is the only thing that matters in the world? That a woman shouldn't be independent, but rely completely on her perfect boyfriend? pffft
Edward Cullen is irritating. He is the Prince Charming with teeth. Completely boring. Nobody is that good. And when someone is good all the fucking time it gets really tiring and twice more boring.
Jacob Black is the only good thing in these entire series. He is flawed. He is believable. He is funny, nasty, juvenile, rough, courageous, coward, bad tempered, persistent, adventurous, headstrong and potty mouthed. He tells the characters everything I'd want to tell them with all my heart. He's got guts. He was the only reason that kept me going through the stories. Thumbs up to Jacob Black. Hail Hail.
The story is so corny that I had downloaded the first book (I wouldn't spend my money on that shit) and had to e-mail a friend asking if I were reading the right document, because I couldn't believe what I was reading. It was plain stupid. Do you know the feeling when you are reading an interesting fanfiction? You look past all the flaws, because you know it is just what it is: a fanfiction written by an inexperienced author. But what is the excuse for Stephenie Meyer to write something so silly? So devoid of depth and creativity? I only kept reading out of pure morbid curiosity. I had to see if it could get worse than that. Really. It did. At least I didn't waste my time LOL
And, again, since the world has seemed to have gone crazy and people are divided between Team Edward and Team Jacob, I decided to take part in all this global stupidity and announce my preference, of course. I must pay my respects to the only character in these books who was worth of my undivided attention. I think you already know who I am referring to.

Unfortunately, I don't know the name of the artist who made this drawing, but I liked it very much and it is the closest idea to the one I have of Jacob Black. The actor Taylor Lautner is gorgeous, yes, but he is not THE Jacob Black I had imagined.
