Halloween!
Anyone want to show me how to use a sewing machine? :)
I inherited a sewing machine from a friend who moved away. But I have no clue how to use it. It's portable (in it's own case, with a handle) -- if I brought it to a fabric store, would someone there would be kind enough to show me how to use it? :)
'Cause... I was kinda wondering if there was any chance in hell that I could make a costume like this before Halloween:
If it doesn't work out, what should I be for Halloween?! I was looking online for ideas and found a couple that sounded amusing -- not that I'm considering any of these, but I thought that I would share:
Wear all black and paint your skin black and carry a white iPod and dance around everywhere. Voila, you're an iPod advertisement.
Put a cardboard box over your head, made to look like a house, with holes for you to see out of. Wear striped socks and ruby slippers, if the box comes down long enough, or else wear black to hide your body and tangle a tiny pair of kid's red slippers in striped socks from the bottom of the cardboard house. Voila, you're the Wicked Witch of the East (after being flattened by Dorothy's house).
Cover your body in puffy (flesh-colored) plastic. Cut the blow hole from a beachball and attach it somewhere. Wear a bikini over the plastic bodysuit. Make a circle of lipstick around your mouth. Voila, you're a blow-up doll. (This one might be good for, say, going to Rocky Horror Picture Show.)

Ĉu iu volas montri al mi kiel uzi kudromaŝinon? :)
Mi heredis kudromaŝinon de amikino kiu translokiĝis foren. Sed mi tute ne scias kiel uzi ĝin. Ĝi estas portebla (en propra kesto, kun tenilo) -- se mi portos ĝin al ŝtofvendejo (teksaĵvendejo), ĉu iu tie bonvole montros al mi kiel ĝin uzi? :)
Ĉar... mi iom scivolis ĉu estas mirakla ŝanco ke mi povas fari kostumon kiel tiun ĉi (supre) antaŭ Halovino (Halloween, la Antaŭvespero de Ĉiuj Sanktuloj).
