So! Busy few days have meant I've not updated. Let's see, what's happened...
Andy and Giza got married. I have pictures of the day, they both look lovely. Sam ran away and hid when they kissed, because it was gross. Such a lovely boy.
The ring pillow which I posted on Thursday 12th April and was meant to get there within 4 working days arrived...this Monday. 23rd April. Rather more than 4 working days later. At least it arrived at all though, which I was starting to worry about.
Went out Saturday night, had a good time despite stupid men in the pub who thought that just because I have big boobs and was wearing a corset they didn't have to treat me like a person. Sam (Just, not Rodick) came to my rescue and was all white knight for me. We then went on to Redeemer for Cheesecake night which was a lot of fun and rolled out of there at 3am. Sunday morning was Tesco cage breakfast courtesy of Vicky because she'd stayed over at mine and is awesome. Tesco cafe do nicer breakfast foods than McDonalds, for cheaper. Good to know for future reference.
My home internet went down on Sunday and came back up this morning. I was going to ring Virgin tonight if it didn't come back up. It's been fritzy lately at weekends, and it's really annoying. Usually comes back up within the day though.
Karate Saturday morning was in the sports hall at Sileby. The sports hall is hopeless as a dojo. The floor's freezing, the echos are awful (less so now that the roof's been lowered, you can actually understand the instructions you're being given, but still pretty bad) and it's just not a good training environment. Sensei Gary has said we should use the main hall for now while he looks for a new location for us. I really want to take karate up to 3 times per week. Options, as I see it, are to either ask the senseis what class they would recommend for me (that I can get to) and what they think of senseis Donna and Mark at Thursday class at New Parks, or else see if I could arrange to leave work half an hour early on Mondays by having a short lunch and so train three times in four days (Saturday, Monday, Tuesday). That does not seem like the best option to me.
Last night's class was awesome fun. The usual kids were being greater pests than usual, which wound sensei Glen up, but still fun. Lots of work on moving hips properly when moving through stances and such. Just the things I want to work on in fact!
Going to see Avengers Assemble tomorrow night. It's opening night, it's my turn to pay, some things have to be done. I'm going to take us out for dinner too, haven't quite decided where yet. The Harvester looks nice, we always realise it's there as we're on our way out and say that we should go there some time...
