Know what I really hate?
When people keep asking me how my mum's doing. What am I supposed to say? "Still dying! Thanks for asking!" With a big wide shit-eating grin I suppose.
Fucking hate people sometimes.
I'm also getting sick of people trying to boost my spirits with tales of this or that person that beat the odds and survived much longer than anyone expected. I mean...OK...they BEAT the odds. But the odds were still stacked against them. As they are against mum. Don't try to cheer me up here. My mother who I thought would be around forever is dying. Show some fucking sympathy, don't just throw stupid words at me and completely refuse to engage with the actual problem at hand.
The really stupid thing is that some of the people who are worse for this are the nurses at work. They should know better than anyone. Surely.
