a poll on feedback

I've been thinking about feedback. Specifically, the giving of feedback on older stories and in fandoms, other than your usual.

The majority of feedback a story receives is within days of it being posted, but delicious saves show that it's still being read, and yet in most cases, further feedback is a lot rarer than such saves. As a writer, I like getting feedback, even if it is months after I have posted. So, I guess, feel the majority of you. And yet, as a reader I am a lot less likely to leave feedback on fics that are older or in fandoms which I am less familiar with. That doesn't mean I never do it, but the fic needs to have been amazing. I think, part of the reason is that when I get interested in a new fandom I tend to read from recs pretty much exclusively, which means I never see newly posted fics, and I would read a lot, which means there is less time to review. Then I feel guilty, because if I really loved something, I want to tell the author, but also curious as to whether my habits are common.

So, a poll. (sorry for the typos, oh how I hate the fact that polls can't be edited!)

In other news, I have mad love for Chris Pine's GQ interview, he went to Mostar on a holiday, you guys, how can you not love him and his paparazzi abusing self? (I know, I should feel bad about that, but I really can't and it fits so nicely with a fic i was writing ages ago and will now force myself to actually finish)

fandom musings, poll, pinto is much more than a car
