Before I can get the funding for my PhD, I have to be inscribed at the BOKU, the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna or the Universität für Bodenkultur Wien.

Having already been accepted by my supervisor, and having done a masters degree in the UK, you'd think that registering at the BOKU would be easy.

Apparently not!
