Since my lessons have gotten most of the fear of riding back out of me, I've become a bit more braver with my riding. I'm learning to jump again, most of my lesson is spent on canter work, and that horrible gut-wrenching fear before each ride has left completely.
So, where does this lead me? Wanting to ride Melody. (this also mostly steams from people offering me free horses with problems, and I don't want to take a horse with a problem when I already have a horse like that.)
I'm not sure why my camera decided to take the pics in b/w- but it did! (also, my toes are down because those stirrups are too long for me -_-)
That was picture was my first time riding her in over a year that was taken just a few weeks ago, and the riding bug has bitten- hard!
I ended up hopping on Mel yesterday after my lesson bareback for about 5 mins in the field, and then today I took her out to ride her bareback for about 15ish mins. :) Once she relaxed, she did pretty well for a green horse with no confidence. And even when she spooked I stayed on and pushed her forward! :) Who knows, maybe I have a riding horse after all!
