WIP? Delphine
So I've decided on the first cosplay of the year: Young Delphine from Last Exile. It's going to be primarily based on her anime design, with (most likely) some bits taken from her artbook sketch.
I've bought the wig and waiting for it to ship/arrive and have started looking into the fabric. I'm thinking a low-sheen satin for the red and the black will probably be the same, or twill. (I like twill... I probably make all my costumes out of taffeta and twill if I thought I could get away with it.)
What has me somewhat excited is that I'm going to attempt the shoes from almost the ground up. I'm using a pair of clogs and going to go nuts with 2x4's, jigsaws, and paper-clay in hopes that I can get something that has the shape I want. And then cover it all in fabric. This is going to be interesting.
This costume also gives me an excuse to buy grey contacts and elf ears. Any suggestions for places to get good elf ears? (Online or brick-and-mortar.)
