Two years in this job
Today marks the 2nd anniversary of my starting as SysAdmin here in Software Engineering.
And things still go well. Over this 2nd year, I've gotten a better handle on the job and my job has started encompassing responsibilities within the Institute as a whole. I'm getting involved in processes that will shape how things work here at RIT in the future (security standards).
My boss is still quite happy with me, although I have areas to improve in (I bring this up, not because he brings them up often, but mainly because I am aware of them and working to improve them). There are projects that I haven't gotten to yet. There are others I've completed admirably.
I see a real future here for me. Things are good.
