It's everywhere!
a. Post a list of 15 fandoms.
b. Have your friends list guess your favourite character from each one.
c. When guessed, bold the line, include the character name, and write a sentence about why you like that character.
These are just the series for which I have one or two definite favorites. Left out the ones where I can't really choose a favorite (e.g. Utena), as well as the ones for which there are only one or two actual recurring characters and it would be really ridiculously obvious who my favorite is as their name is usually in the title (e.g. Black Jack). ^^
1. Princess Tutu - Rue (guessed by gweenmeanie) Her angsty angstiness is so much fun to watch. The poor girl tries so hard to be a big bad evil ninja ballerina, but in her heart she just wants to be a Disney Princess!
2. The Vision of Escaflowne - Van (guessed by gweenmeanie) He's got the kingly attitude, yet he's also game for camping in the forest and eating roasted bugs. I guess he's got kind of an Aragorn thing going on... (Plus, he never runs out of red shirts.)
3. Lupin III - Goemon (guessed by phrotus) "Once again, I have cut a worthless object."
4. The Big O - R. Dorothy (guessed by phrotus) Deadpan sardonic android girl with highly improbably mass-to-weight ratio.
5. X - Karen Kasumi (guessed by psychoe) Sorata used to be my #1 favorite, but suddenly around volume 13 Karen turned out to be amazingly cool. Plus, I think at that point in the manga she was the first Dragon of Heaven to decisively kick the ass of a Dragon of Earth (Nataku).
6. Clover - Kazuhiko (guessed by psychoe) He's just... cool. ...Yeah. And he has style.
7. Fruits Basket - Momiji (guessed by phrotus) So... adorable... I cried so much in the chapter where we find out about his mother! And in volume [I forget which] where he stands up to Akito... It's possible that someday Haru may become my favorite, but for the moment it's still Momiji.
8. Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind - Kushana or Kurotowa (guessed by gweenmeanie) Kushana, because it's funny how she's really a lot like Nausicaa except for occasionally massacring a city or two and being obsessed with killing her family. Kurotowa for his snarkiness and pragmatism, his mad corvette-flying skills, and his continued failure to die. <3
9. Bleach - Rukia (guessed by gweenmeanie) She's a runty underdeveloped dead girl who talks like a samurai, steals clothes from little kids, draws crappy bunnies, and reads melodramatic old shoujo manga to "study modern language".
10. Ranma 1/2 - Mousse (guessed by phrotus) He's cute in a really really pathetic way.
11. The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen - Mina Murray (guessed by phrotus) My idol! Being a woman in a man's world Leading an unruly bunch of circus freaks Choosing outfits to match that red scarf all the time is hard!

13. Star Trek - Data (guessed by phrotus) What can I say? I like androids, and as far as I'm concerned Data is Android King. (I also would've accepted Captain Picard.)
14. Harry Potter - Snape (guessed by gweenmeanie) He has really really serious character flaws! But for some reason he's a good guy! It's a mystery!

A Series of Unfortunate Events - Lemony Snicket (guessed by gweenmeanie) "Lemony Snicket, author of A Series of Unfortunate Events, the purportedly true chronicles of the Baudelaire children, was reported dead today by anonymous and possibly unreliable sources. His age was given as 'tall, with brown eyes.' He leaves no survivors. ... Mr. Snicket became a fugitive from justice and was rarely seen in public, and then usually from the back. Several manhunts -- and due to a typographical error, womanhunts -- proved fruitless."
