Yuto open the glass door and enter the veranda. It’s a cold night in autumn and Yuto shivered a little when the cold breeze when pass his body. Yuto take a sit on a wooden chair on a corner there.
He sighed hard, today he had another tiring day; when he come home, his son already sleeping and his spouse is busy with his work. So in other words, he was alone. Yuto lifted his head to look up at the sky. Surprisingly there is a lot of stars that night. Oh, how he wish he could share this moment with someone…
Yuto glance to his back, he saw his spouse just walk pass the guest room. He seems to be not realized about Yuto there. He turned back to front and rested his back on the seat.
“Does he forget about it?” Yuto said slowly.
It’s hurt him a little when no one is actually paying attention to him. Yuto pouted his lips. “Today is my birthday, but here I am… all alone.”
Yuto take out his cell phone from his pocket. When he press the on/off button, the screen light up and show his wallpaper. It is a picture of himself with his spouse and their son. A picture that was taken a year ago. When he look at that it, a smile is formed on his face. A flashback of himself and his lovely spouse when they first time meet each other come into his mind. Things have changed so much since that time, they develop from a stranger into a friend in a short time but then they going back to not greeting each other until their parent declaring that they was already engaged.
“I wonder what will happen to me now if that time; we were not engaged and never mingle with each other?” Yuto asked himself.
“I must have marrying someone else now or still single.”
“Hurmmm” Yuto hummed while thinking the possibility that could happen if now he didn’t know his spouse and not married. What would he do now? Yuto creased his forehead. He somehow have trouble thinking about it. Yuto realize that before this, he never thought of something like this. A life without his spouse, is something that he never wish for happen.
“Yuto…”
“Um?” Yuto hummed slowly and turned his head to the glass door behind him. His spouse is there, looking at him with a smile on his face and a blanket on his hand. “Nani? Have you done your work?” Yuto asked him.
“I have finish it a while ago.” His spouse replied softly. He entered the veranda and slowly put the blanket he bring along on Yuto’s back. “What are you doing here alone? It is cold out here…”
“Thinking…” Yuto replied while pulling the blanket to cover all his upper body part. “You?”
“Accompany you;” He take the available chair next to Yuto and sit there. “Yuto…”
“Nani?”
“Outanjobi omedeto…”
Yuto blinked his eyes two time. “Oh, you actually remember my birthday Ryo-chan…” He said, a little shock.
Ryosuke rolled his eyes. “Of course I remember… what make you thought that I forgot? Baka!”
“Well, you seem so busy and were not paying much attention to me… I was alone…” Yuto said and pouted his lips.
Ryosuke turned his body facing Yuto and his hand cupped Yuto face tightly. “Say like that again and you will sleep outside tonight.” He warned him.
“But it’s true!” Yuto tried to dispute. But it is a little hard for him to talk since Ryosuke is still cupping his cheek.
“Never said that you’re alone! You have me! And sorry that I was a little busy today.” Ryosuke exclaimed madly. He sighed hard and slowly drew his hand away from Yuto cheek. “I promised you right… that I will never let you be alone.” He turned his face away from Yuto. He feel a little hurt to hear that from Yuto. His spouse should have understand his situation. He also have his work; not that he want it himself to not paying attention to him.
“I’m going inside, get in quickly and if you wanna eat your birthday cake, I put it in the fridge. Oyasumi.”
Ryosuke get up from his chair. When he wanted to walk in, Yuto grabbed his hand and pulled it back. Ryosuke lose his balance and fall backward. But he didn’t fall on the floor, Yuto have pulled him to sit on his lap with both of his arm encircling Ryosuke waist.
“Yuto?”
“Shh…”
“Eh? Yuto let me go!”
“Don’t go, stay with me here…” Yuto said and tightening his hug.
Ryosuke can feel his face boiled hot from Yuto hugging his waist. But he didn’t say anything and just nodding his head and sit quietly there.
“I’m sorry…”
“It’s okay…”
“Don’t leave me…”
“I never thought of leaving you Yuto, I just wanna go to sleep.”
“But I’m afraid that you will leave me…”
“Have you ever thought about me, leaving you?”
“I did…”
“And the result is?”
“Nothing, I can’t see anything thing; when I thought about it… you suddenly appear in my head.” Yuto snuggled his head on Ryosuke back. “I can’t see a life without you… or actually I don’t wanna think about it at all.”
“So that solve the problem.”
“What do you mean?”
“I’ll never leave you… I’m yours now and forever.”
“Really?”
Ryosuke rolled his eyes. Slowly he remove Yuto hands from his waist and turn his body around to face the latter. “No matter what happen, even if I was getting close to a coworker or a friends… it is you and only you that I love. Isn’t that enough to prove to you that I’ll never leave you.”
“I need some more prove…” Yuto said while starring at Ryosuke lips. And the latter seem to be understand what Yuto means and lean down, closing the gap between his and Yuto face. Yuto immediately claimed Ryosuke lip, kissing it while his hand roamed toward Ryosuke back, supporting the latter so that he won’t slipped from his lap and stay still.
The kisses ended after a few second. Ryosuke face is red but he still flashed a big warm smile. “Happy birthday Nakajima Yuto, I love you…”
