Summary: Kurogane and Fay are about to head off to separate colleges. Fay's not happy about being separated from his lover. Along the way jealousy,twists and turns await. This was mine and Ashton's first work together. It's an rp turned fanfic

Kurogane shut his locker and turned to head out of the building and towards the parking lot. He was seventeen and soon enough would be graduating high school. It was a pain really as he thought about having to start college after the summer on top of having to find a part time job somewhere in town, but his father wouldn't let him hear the end of it unless he did.
Fay D. Flourite walked out the building with his twin brother Yuui. Both were high school seniors and would be soon graduating. The twins had just celebrated their eighteenth birthday back in December and were being reminded constantly by their uncle Ashura that they needed to start looking for part time jobs and preparing for college. Both twins were headed for the same college, Yuui study culinary and Fay advanced chemistry. Yuui was very relaxed about the whole ordeal,Fay however was not. Fay was wondering what college his boyfriend, Kurogane was headed for. Kurogane hadn't mentioned it since whenever the subject came up Fay would whine for over an hour. "Hyuu~ I see Kuro-rin!"Fay said happily. "I'll see you at home later Yuui!" Fay skipped over to Kurogane calling out, "Kuroooooooo-rinnnnnnnnnnnn,wait for me!" Yuui looked sour at this,he didn't approve of Kurogane and Fay's dating much.
Kurogane had noticed two mops of blonde hair down the hall in front of him and quickly made his way to the brothers. He looked down at them with a questioning look as usually he would have been bombarded by Fay as soon as he was at his locker. "Oi, you two walking home again?"
Instead of answering Kurogane normally,Fay bounded over and pounced on him. Yuui pretended to be interested in the school billboard. "We were going to yes,unless you have an alternative method Kuro-sama." Fay kissed Kurogane's nose even though he knew Kurogane didn't approve of public affection.
"Just usually you're always whining about bumming a ride." He willed himself not to blush and to ignore Fay hanging off him. Kurogane frowned and tried to pry the blonde off him. "And stop with those damn nicknames, idiot."
Yuui shook his head. A normal person would've been highly offended if their lover had called them an idiot in such a gruff manner. Not his brother though,he welcomed it with open arms. "I would love a ride my Kuro-rin,I may faint in this heat."Fay put on a dramatic act,as always.
If you wouldn t run around in the heat, you probably wouldn t faint. Kurogane argued as he made to leave, knowing the other to would follow. Digging his keys out of his pocket, the taller pushed open the door that led out to the school s parking lot, where others were already leaving.
Fay started to follow Kurogane dragging a protesting Yuui behind him. "Hyuu~ Kuro-sama is so thoughtful,you can bring Yuui home,I'll come with you to talk to you about grad-just talk." Fay cut himself off,he didn't want to show a weakness in front of both his lover and twin.
"Whatever." Grumbled the taller as he unlocked his car doors so Fai and Yuui didn't have to wait. Getting in he had to wonder why exactly his boyfriend didn't want to talk about their graduation in front of his brother. Figuring it was something silly anyways, Kurogane buckled and started the engine as the twins got in.
Fay was remotely quiet(for him anyways) all the way to his house. He bid Yuui goodbye and said he'd be home before midnight and if anything came up he'd call. After Yuui was dropped off and Fay and Kurogane were now at the taller man's house. "Hyuu~ I love your home Kuro-rin."
"It's nothing big." Replied Kurogane as he pulled into the driveway. Really, the house was just big enough for him and his parents. Fay's home was much larger. Turning off the car, Kurogane made quick work of getting out with his books in hand. "Come on."
"It's plenty big Kuro-sama,the size of a house isn't measured by basic architecture, but by the love inside of it." Fay knew perfectly well no matter how strict Kurogane's parents were they loved him very much. "It's similar to a person see? You measure a person by the size of their heart,not their muscles."
Kurogane sighed, thinking Fay had his head in the clouds far too often and he should have known better than to argue. "It's too hot out to stand here and be philosophical, idiot." He grabbed hold of the blonde's arm and pulled him along towards his front door and then inside.
"Hyuu~" No matter how many times Fay had been inside of his boyfriend's house,he still loved seeing the decor."So where are we going Kuro-wanwan? Your room?" Fay knew better to think that Kurogane had missed his cover up earlier,but that didn't mean he couldn't delay it.
Yeah, I don't want to deal with dad pestering us right now." Kurogane said, kicking off his shoes and letting go of the other's arm. His father was almost as high strung as Fay and he didn't want a headache right now.
Fay took off his own shoes and started to lead the way to Kurogane's room having been there so many times in the past. Kurogane's room was mostly black but there was some red here and there. Fay plopped onto Kurogane's bed. "So Kuro-sama,are you excited for summer?"
Yeah, getting a job and training with dad is always great." He replied sarcastically as he shut his door and walked across his room. Kurogane eyed the blonde for a moment before he sat down, his back resting against his bed's headboard. "What about you/"
Fay didn't meet Kurogane's eyes. "I have to find a job and then college starting,but I have to do it to make a life for myself. Besides, my uncle breathing down my neck,I can do without." They had arrived at the topic Fay wanted to avoid. "So Kuro-sama,have you decided on a college?"
"Yeah, the one over at Shirisaki." Kurogane looked at Fay beside him. They would be going to different colleges, but they weren't too far away from each other. "What about you?"
Fay paused. "Luval, with Yuui." Fay didn't understand how Kurogane could be so calm and without thinking he slumped his head onto Kurogane's shoulder. "We haven't been apart for such a long time before what are we going to do?"
"You act like we're gonna be in different countries. It's just two towns over." He explained and wrapped an arm around Fay's shoulders, knowing he needed to be comforted.
Fay chewed his lip. Kurogane's voice had a final tone in it. "I suppose so." He wouldn't look up and show Kurogane the face that was hidden beneath his mask all the time although he was pretty sure Kurogane knew his expression wasn't the cheerful one he usually wore. Instead of looking up he snuggled closer. "What will you be studying?"
"Buisness." It was boring, but with that degree he could get any number of jobs around here. He glanced down at Fay and knew by the sound of his voice he didn't like the idea of them being separated. "You still wanting to go into chemistry? Anyways we can still see each other on weekends or something."
Fay lightened up a bit. "Yeah, I still want chemistry. Hyuu~ Kuro-rin as a buisness man. I'm just afraid of people trying to take my Kuro-rin away...So what do you want to do?" Fay attempted to change the subject hoping it would work.
"Dumbass, you think I'd cheat or break-up with you?" He frowned at the thought. Ignoring what Fay had asked him, he grabbed the other's face with his free hand and lifted his head up so he could look at him. "Listen, I'm not doing either so stop worrying."
Fay's blue eyes widened when Kurogane lifted his head up to look into those intense ruby red eyes. He knew at once he wasn't being lied to. Smirking a devious grin he leaned up and placed a short kiss on his boyfriend's mouth.
Deciding he would protest and argue with Fay later, Kurogane returned the kiss. His hand moved to cup the back of his boyfriend's head as he closed his eyes.
Fay had expected Kurogane to protest at the affection but then remembered,they were alone. Kurogane didn't mind Fay being "mushy" as he called it when they were alone. Fay,whose eyes were half lidded when he initiated the kiss;fully closed his eyes and put his arms around Kurogane's neck deciding he'd let Kurogane decide when he wanted to break off.
He supposed he could let Fay distract him for a little longer, but they would be talking about how insecure the other was getting the closer they got to graduating. Kurogane didn't want Fay to think that them being separated meant that they wouldn't still be together, he just had to figure out a way to say it without sounding like an idiot.
