Gateway to work training- Day four

Jun 18, 2009 22:31

I didn't have such a great day today. It started off bad. I got on the bus and there were no seats, I had to stand most of the way which has painful because the roads are really bumpy and curvy so it make you feel sick and you have to put a lot of pressure into your calf muscles or you'll fall on your arse.
Things got better as the day went on. We were doing job searching all morning. I found a couple of jobs I might apply for and I was in good spirits. Sadly my mood was ruined by one of the guys in my class. He has shoulder length black hair and whines like a bitch. He goes on none stop about things that he hates (he hates everything basically). He puts on this low depressing mono tone voice when he talks that sort of sounds like a bumble bee in a tumble dryer. If it doesn't send you to sleep you will go insane and kill yourself.
He talked absolute bullshit the whole time. Virtually everything he said was wrong and he must have said that the cost of bread in Zimbabwe was $100.000 about 5 times in order to make a point (which was irrelevant). I tried to be nice and let him know that I had spotted jobs that he wanted (web design) but he always had some excuse to turn them down. He also kept complaining that all his bosses were unfair to him and he kept getting the sack. I think he was treated badly because he is just so unlike able. No body likes him at all.
Eventually I snapped and when he said that yaoi was disgusting and evil (he didn't know I like it and I didn't complain when he looked up midget goat porn) so I told him to shut the fuck up and stop whining. I think most people (including the trainers) agreed with me.
Later I was complaining that he got on my nerves and one of the trainers told me that he had been on this course before and no one could put up with him after the first week XD

I at least managed to get out of the role playing exercise by telling Joe I needed to write a cover letter for my job application. That was at least one good thing.

The others had to role play an interview. One guy was interview the annoying guy to be a paper boy. He told him to prove he could deliver a newspaper and the annoying guy picked up a newspaper, walked outside, across the carpark and posted the newspaper through the letter box of one of the shop units XD
We all had a laugh and went home!!
I treated myself to some new nail polish from the market even though I shouldn't have. It was only £1.25 a bottle and there were only 1 each left of the two colours I wanted. They were Maybelline as well so I had to snap them up :)

Ahhh at least I'm done at 1:00 tomorrow. Yay half day!! My dad has a day off too so we can have the rest of the day together :D
