Today's Weight: 155n pounds
Bust: 37"
Waist: 31"

Weight lost since June 27th: 17 pounds.

My first goal is 140, and I am past the half way mark. My measurements are with in slightly acceptable ranges, and I am so proud of my progress. I know a few people that are trying to lose too, so I want to share my success tips.

-I've been wearing jeans a lot, coz they make me feel fat. It's helped me stay on track with my goals. I don't feel like over eating or indulging when I am in jeans.

-Healthy snacks! Celery takes more calories to digest than it has. And it's tastey with peanut butter, a good source of protien. Popcorn if you need something salty, just hold back on the butter.

-Fiber! It makes you feel full faster, and helps you digest.

-If you eat meat, go for chicken and fish and turkey. Red meat is fatty and full of calories. And fish has omega 3s in it that are super good for you.

-Lemon water if you need a flavoured drink (sometimes I add Truvia). Most diet sodas have aspertame in them and that shuts off the receptor that tells you when you are full, which can lead to over eating. The lemon also is good for your metabolism.

-Cinnamon, lemon, green tea and raw veggies and fruits are good for boosting your metabolism. I eat a lot of fruit when I want a snack.

-Use healthy thinspo. I picked my friend Jane, as she has lost a ton of weight lately, and she looks fab! I also used my Perfume Bottle dress that didn't fit when it was gifted to me. It fits now! Avoid getting to the underweight model thinspo, it promotes an unhealthy body image and most women can't achieve they look anyway.

-Measure and weigh yourself often. When you see progress it feels so good! If you gain, don't beat yourself up, just tell yourself that you will get back on track and lose again.

-Give yourself a calorie budget and stick to it. This helps you be responsible in food choices. Want chocolate? Instead of 400 calorie cake, try a small piece of a chocolate bar. Replace ice cream with Skinny Cow and frozen yogurt. Soon you will be making better choices and not want the things that are bad for you. If you go over, it's ok. Just say "Tomorrow is a new day, and I will be back on track tomorrow."

-Soup! It's low cal, full of veggies and fills you up fast. It's the idea of volumetrics I guess.

-Stay hydrated. Some times hungry isn't hungry at all, but it's thirsty. If you stay hydrated it will also ensure that you don't gain water weight. Plus it does so much more for your body.

Losing weight doesn't have to be a battle, you just have to learn how to eat and be good to yourself.
