Author: Kurokitsune09
Rating: PG-13
Genre: General/Romance
Focus: JongHo, P.O/Sulli, Krsytal/Sungjong, Joon/Mir/Luna
Sub-Focus: various kpop idols,
Inspiration: I dun’ remember how I got the first write but I wanted to fix the first write thus the rewrite. I also liked the idea of the “red string of lovers” or something like that so there’s that too.
Notes: So I decided to rewrite the original BTD; it was all over the place so yeah… -_-U I’m sorry for all the people who loved the first write. I hope this is better, but I won’t be offended if you just stop reading all together. Honest. Oh, and this is a pretty long thing so sit tight and hold on.

Background:
Years ago, there was a cute little tale of a red string connecting fated lovers. It was a cute tale spun by a traveler passing through Central on his journey to somewhere. At the time, it had been a tale for the romantics but for the people who knew better, they knew that that entire story had been true. Very true. And it’s this red string for lovers that connect the unshakable Lord of Westfall Choi Minho with the flighty guild leader Kim Jonghyun.

But that’s not all that connects them. Friends, enemies, allies, and weird handfuls of land-locked gods they’ve met walk with them on their journey and there is one thing that definitely should be learned from this. Nothing comes easy at all. If you want something, you must fight for it. You must fight for it and be strong enough. Strong enough so that when you’re done with all the hurting, the desperation, the fear of losing them, and then some, you know that you’re fine and that you’ll stay that way.

Cast List (revised):

Choi Minho
-the twenty-two year old Lord of Westfall, having succeeded his father when he was 17. For such a young lord, almost nothing fazes him and I say almost because this authoress is sure that anyone will lose to a five-hour barrage of “Pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease” from his sister Jinri (Sulli) and her friend Soojung (Krystal). He finds his life turned around when by chance (at least they think it’s chance) he meets Kim Jonghyun, the most flighty guild leader in the entire empire.

Kim Jonghyun
-the youngest guild leader in the entire empire; having taken the position easily when he was 15. He’s been a guild leader for about 7/8 years now and while he’s young, he does his job pretty damn well. There are some complaints because he doesn’t make an attempt to make their guild well known but other than that, no one really doubts his ability to lead the guild. He’s flighty and unpredictable but when he’s in battle, he’s dangerous. Magic is his best ability but he prefers hand to hand combat a lot of the time.

Choi Jinri (Sulli)
-the nineteen year old sister of Choi Minho. She’s cute and definitely well liked, in the courts and outside among the peasantry. She’s the kind to rarely get angry and most of the time, she asks and cons her brother into getting her things. Sulli is definitely pretty, sweet and almost like a doll but don’t get her wrong. She’s by no means a wallflower. Since a young age, for her own safety, Sulli’s learned fighting, and weaponry, and she’s a pretty dangerous opponent in battle.

Pyo Jihoon
-one of Jonghyun’s members, his voice belies his physical age. At twenty, he’s one of the younger members, not the youngest of members but he definitely acts like it. He’s playful and likes poking fun at people. One can usually tell how much he likes a person and how fond he is just by how much he pokes fun at them. One of Jonghyun’s stronger fighters, Jihoon’s main weapon is twin hand axes but if needed, he’s good at swordplay too. He doesn’t see eye to eye with Lee Taemin.

Jung Soojung (Krystal)
-a lady of the courts, Krystal had been, at some point, a candidate to be Minho’s wife and she still kind of is. While that is the case, there is no doubt among the people in the courts that Krystal is just a sister to Minho and Krystal doesn’t view him any different. It doesn’t stop people (her parents) from hoping that one day they’ll get together. Krystal isn’t well versed in fighting but she can get by, her favorite ability to use is magic, by far and the whip.

Lee Taemin
-one of Jonghyun’s mercenaries, like Jihoon, he’s twenty, cocky and gifted with magic. He’s not half bad at hand-to-hand combat but he’s not amazing. He would definitely lose to Jihoon if he ever had to fight the other in hand-to-hand combat though. Like Jihoon, Taemin is dangerous in battle but if anything, the guild knows that it’s Taemin’s other personality that they should look out for. He doesn’t see eye to eye with Jihoon and there is some sort of history between them.

Park Sunyoung (Luna)
-a lady in the courts, Luna is one of the advanced instructors for Magic. She’s one of the youngest instructors around but no one challenges her over it. She’s known as the Nightwalker although no one knows how this name came to be. Upon meeting Jonghyun’s guild, she’s almost immediately annoyed by them, specifically Jihoon and Taemin. No one knows quite why. She turned twenty recently.

Lee Sungjong
-a stray of sorts who shows up pretty much all smiles at Jonghyun’s guild. He’s friendly, energetic and he really likes messing with people’s minds. He has an immediate fond spot in his heart for Luna the moment he runs into Minho and crew and he can tolerate Taemin and Jihoon. No one knows where his best abilities lie but it’s definitely not with heavy weaponry. He can be considered a jack-of-all-trades. For the moment, his main weapon is bow and arrows.

Lee Changsun (Joon)
-the twenty-five year-old runaway prince of the empire, but of course, he doesn’t travel with that name. He’s Joon, a traveling performer/fighter for hire. Few people know his true identity but they do know that there’s something about him that makes him different from normal people. Perhaps it’s in the way he moves and what not. Sungjong and Jihoon seem to know who he is but they don’t say anything.

Bang Cheulyong (Mir)
-the little farm boy turned combat doctor/mage who gets dragged into a lot of trouble because of both the guild and because of Minho’s crew. He’s surprisingly gifted for healing magic but he just says that it’s because he’s got a good teacher (Luna teaches him along the journey). He’s also got a strange affinity for explosions. Most of the time, Mir’s explosions tend to ruin some part of Taemin’s clothing, no matter how far away the younger male is. This ability of Mir’s cracks Jihoon up.

Jeon Jiyoon
-One of Jonghyun’s friends from Central, a woman who tells fortunes using tarot cards. She’s dragged on their journey by accident and they kind of have no clue how to send her home (without having her in trouble) but as the journey continues, they learn that there’s more the to the pretty woman than meets the eye and her secrets begin with the cards she uses to divine people’s lives.

Kim Sunggyu
-a stranger who ends up tagging along their weird journey to somewhere. He’s kind and very friendly with a charming smile but there’s something about him that puts half the group on alert and Sungjong is hesitant to offend him. He’s a jack-of-all-trades and prefers to use the rather unorthodox gun as his main weapon. He’s a gunner.

MORE NOTES THAT DIDN’T MAKE IT TO THE TOP:
-There isn’t going to be a plot or a summary put up because I realize that I have the tendency to stray from my original plans.

-There are a total of 12 characters right now and I don’t know if I’ll add more or not later on. Let’s see how these babies even out first shall we?

-In the original version, Taemin and Sulli was a pair. In this version, I’m pretty sure that I’m putting Sulli with Jihoon.

-Jessica and Lee Seunggi in the original version have been replaced by Kim Sunggyu and Jeon Jiyoon, whom I think will have a more interesting interaction and they’ll show up faster than Jessica and Lee Seunggi.

-Cheundong has been cut from this story because honestly, his character wasn’t working as much as I wanted it to. He has been replaced by Lee Sungjong, who will probably end up paired with Krystal…unless Taemin somehow steps in and breaks this pairing apart.

-Joon, Mir, and Luna is going to be my weird OT3 that I’ve been shipping for ages but it’s really weird but cute in my brain. Maybe though, if they won’t be written, it’ll be JooMi with LunaxTaemin or LunaxSungjong and then TaeminxKrystal. This will also change with reader opinions too I guess. Catering to the public.

-If you couldn’t tell, I was very fond of my 93-er idols; at least the 93-er that I love the most right now. They have a pretty big history together which hopefully will be written out as the story goes on.

-In the original version, Jonghyun and some of his guild members had been slaves and that had a black mark in their memory and in their lives. In this version, this does not occur.

-Kim Sunggyu and the 93-ers have a history too but only Sunggyu and Sungjong really understands and knows what it is, hence Sungjong’s hesitancy around him.

-Yes. I am very aware that I have oddball ships that not a lot of people see floating. JooMiNa (JoonxMirxLuna) being one of them. Deal with it. Don’t like; don’t read. Or just leave a message I guess. I’m pretty easily swayed. (I’m sure my wifey, my unnies, and my dongsaeng know this X33)
