Women's razors and deodorant.

This thought started when I was boarding the train, today. There was a floor ad (literally, an ad on the floor)  and a more normal, vertical ad for a fancy Gilette razor. "[Insert razor image here]" Not sure you've ever seen it, but it made me wonder....

Why the fuck do women need separate razors? Really, what is the difference between a woman's razor and a man's besides marketing? Moreover, is it women who truly decide to shave their own legs and armpits, or men that prefer non-hairy women? The way I see it, the hair's there naturally, so wouldn't a more effective way to get rid of it be selective breeding? Deodorant is another issue; is there really that much of an odor difference between the sexes (not genders, physical sexes) that men need a stronger deodorant, while a floral scent is enough to cover up a woman's?

(Meh. Maybe I'll add more after my bath.)

Once you put on sociology glasses, you can never, ever take them off. Such is the analogy of coming out of Socrates' cave, unshackled,  then seeing the light of the outside.

Speaking of, shouldn't I be writing this in a journal? You know, for points in the class?

wtf, sociology
