Sick~ and Cosplay
I forgot to post to LJ what I had posted to dA. Simply, I'm sick. I'm not sure how, but I am. I didn't go to school Monday because I only had one class and really didn't feel up to going when I could've gotten the notes from someone else. So I didn't go.
Sunday, when I started feeling really sick, I did indeed work diligently on my cosplay. orz Lotta good it did me anyway. I spent nearly the whole time on my petticoat! Sewing tulle is hard! >__< It stuck to my jacket, it was hard to pin, it was hard to sew properly, it's see-through so you get easily confused as to wear you last left off... At one point I couldn't tell if the two layers were even touching! XD It was crazy.
I thought about working on the next major thing (my brother's AoS smock) but I decided against it due to my health.
As I just mentioned, I didn't go to school Monday. I spent most of the day sleeping and taking it easy. When I finally felt a little more healthy, I measured off and cut-out the smock. I took my time and hemmed it. I created it much like I did Yuuen's smock; threw the fabric over his head and cut a hole wear his head would have to go through. It worked quite well and by 8 PM I had had it fully hemmed and ready to be painted. Except I decided I'd done enough for the day.
Tonight I decided I'd have to―at the very least―put the first coat of paint on since it takes 4 hours to dry. Well~ I finished it and looks ama~zing~! ^_^
Now all I have left to do is my over skirt and poofy sleeves with Organza and maybe adding the Organza to my corset. We figured an alternative for my brother's headress so I really don't have to make that anymore. Which is great because I don't have a lot of time left to go about figuring out how to make one. orz
Anyway. We're still unsure if we're suppose to see the movie on Friday night or Saturday. @__@ I think we're waiting for times to come out but still. I'd like a general knowledge before it comes.

02/18/10 ★ I had an immense, free (well, it ended up being $10, but still) lunch with Nicolle at Miami Prime. =w= I had a mozzarella patty, tuna club sandwich (tuna, tomato, and cheeze on rye bread) and Ultimate Chocolate Cake (with Belgian chocolate). It was sooooo good. *w*
02/19/10 ★ My brother won three out of four of our anime club's vid game tournies so I got to get one of the gay goodie bags we threw together. It's all pokémon. XD
02/20/10 ★ Went to the Lunar Year Festival held by Karen's Chinese school with Karen, Annushka, Lauren, Justin, Sasu, Mel and Kirky. C: I had a lot of fun.
02/21/10 ★ Scott McNeil replied to my post on his FaceBook. My "With A V" nickname has now been reduced to W.A.V. for short. XD
02/22/10 ★ Only had my one class. XD
02/23/10 ★ Switched swifts with Chen. Ended up knocking out more than half my book for EUH class because it was so slow but somehow managed to also make a sh** ton of tips. XD
02/24/10 ★ Got told that my short short story (for CRW) was one of the best stories they read! :3 Also participated in Japan Culture Day and had a blast. :3
02/25/10 ★ New chapter of Kimi ni Todoke came out! And I got my tiara for my White Queen cosplay. ^_^
02/26/10 ★ Got my fabric and Futch wig in the mail. New Episode of Kimi ni Todoke came out. :3
02/27/10 ★ Made some nice tips at work even though it was slooow.
02/28/10 ★ Made progress on AiW cosplays.
03/01/10 ★ Got hot water back in the house!! >w< And finished base work for AoS.
03/01/10 ★ Finished AoS. :3
