In this journal, I will curse, so beware of a certain "F" word. I'll only use it once, though (or maybe twice, depending on the progress of my current mood), so yuppers. ^ ^ Just warning you~ in case you don't like those bad bad curse words ahaha.
So, as you all could tell by a previous journal entry I wrote, I was totally psyched about the up-coming (or what used to be "up-coming") Harry Potter movie~ Originally, it was supposed to be released into theatres on November 21st. But, they dared to push it into 2009. I have three words to say: What. The. Fuck.
That was the last thing I wanted (next to it being canceled all together, of course). It's going to be out now, in July of 2009. Why? Cuz it's summer. And apparently summer brings in more loads of cash then November does. True, I don't disagree with this, since people have more time on their hands and what place has better air conditioning than the movies during the summer? However, I really think this move was unnessecary. Not only because my opinion is biased since I love love the movies and the books, but because it's Harry Potter. No matter what the month, or what time of year, people will still go see it. In my opinion, Warner Brothers and the like have done an incredible job creating the films, both casting wise and directing. It's hard to make a film after a book that even comes half-way to living up to it. Warner Brothers and the like did a pretty damn good job at it, even if the story is dragging along a bit. They made me smile and applaud in every film. Sure, it wasn't perfect, but I think with 2 hours to make with, they were amazing at what they did. As such, I think the push was not needed. It was very last minute, and I think it should have just stayed as it was. I'm still going to watch it though, of course, because I've been anticipating the movie, but for my wait, my expectations will be much higher than what it once was as just a fan. I'll be pissed as hell if it isn't good.
That is all. Have a very fine day.
