(But first, at some point during the past few days I changed my light setting, because I really wanted to play the neglected families of Pleasantview, like the Dreamers and the Burbs, and they all had the lighting bug. I'm not sure it is fixed now, but I notice it far less, so it's okay. Snapshots may look weird and inconsistent though.)
New light test ! The whole Goth family (the orangey cloud is Grograman hiding behind the armchair).
I love that screen because this is so Sacha. Normal glasses had opaques lenses for a while (some download was at fault) and Sacha without glasses seemed wrong. Since he is so into optometry I figured I could let him have home-made "glasses".
So optometry and number theory it is. With every passing day he becomes less of a nerdy kid, and more of a total badass unconventional heir to a very rich family. His face whenever he teleports <3
The alchemist of the title is of course Vladimir. At first I wanted to get Sofia back to keep the house while Sacha would be in college. But with her back (they're spontaneous three-bolters), Vladimir regained his spark. Lubov and him constantly rolls wants about each other, they truly consider themselves family. Now more alive and kicking than ever, and with incredibly easy access to Elixir of life, he would not give in to death just yet.
(I downloaded defaults just so Sofia's spectral assistant could be red. I regret nothing.)
I had to redo the Goths' (and the Pleasants') house due to a bug with owned lots that forced me to move the family out. I kind of like the new house better, though all rooms kept the same function and basic color scheme. Except for the guest room, which has been remade to accomodate the girl from the painting. You know, the one with calla lilies. I'm not being too subtle about it.
Speaking of new additions to the family:
The Lotharios' number doubled. Don is a remarkable father, and I don't think he has ever feared having children in my game.
However he rolled the want to fall in love with Sofia (and vice versa) and I get that they are very close, but Don, really, you do not want to become that guy. The one who marries the daughter because he can't have the mother. I know I said Sandra and Sofia were like Alia and Jessica, but YOU ARE NO DUNCAN IDAHO.
Twins are Nicolo and Natalia (but I'm prolly never gonna use their full names) and they are of course adorable. And Sandra can finally get back to work !
Continuing with the makeovers in SimState University (old light system):
Tiffany Sampson was already in Heather's pictures the last time, but meet one of my 2 new favorites: Kevin Beare. He is literally friend with all the girls. Every single one of them. His best friend is Heather, they are adorable together, like very blond siblings.
He is engaged to Tiffany because of reasons, but they're not actually in love. I don't think it will happen.
My other favorite, Castor Nova. I used to hate him because I failed to see the appeal. To justify the fact that all girls have a crush on him, I made him a teenage heartthrob. Now I get it.
AND THEN I HAD AN AMAZING IDEA (not really): I'd turn my favorite premade sims from neighborhoods I don't play into adoptable children. Belladonna Cove gene pool would be the provider for Pleasantview.
So I decided to take Florence on a vacation hoping she would magically spin a Have a baby want. She did not of course, the only thing I could get was a "read to child" want. I don't know if that means she actually wants a kid of her own. I shall wait 'till she makes up her mind. She however became a gifted globetrotter in one go, I was really proud.
Come on Flo, the oprhans are waiting on you !
While watching the
Sorcery trailer, I came to regret that all spectral familiars basically look the same. And I made an
Erline cat. Not accurate (far from it), but I still love her scrawny magical self. I'm now trying to get her the blue particles of the good witch familiar. Not getting stellar results so far.
And now for something completely different:
Pornstache unite !
