Reo turns two months in a week. He hasn't hit some milestones and I suspect something isn't quite right, but no doctor will diagnose for sure at only two months. It could all be paranoia though -- the internet can do that to you sometimes. I'm supposed to have a two-month home-visit from the city hall family center soon. I'll try to get some questions answered then.
The weather has been getting nicer so I wanted to start walking. Lack of sleep and energy has prevented me from doing so. I've still managed to drop a kilo though, so only three more until I'm back at my pre-pregnancy weight and fit my old clothes. I'll only need to buy shoes, as it isn't sensible to run around in heels just yet.
Mom offered to bring me shoes when she comes but we don't yet know when borders will re-open. Speaking of mom, I was able to call home and video chat with everyone for about an hour. We talked about what languages we'd be using at home. Ryu only speaks Japanese, so there is no discussion there. I decided on Spanish. There are so many in my family who only speak Spanish, and English is taught in schools here anyway.
Since Reo doesn't nap and absolutely hates being put down, I've been spending my days holding him and walking in place in front of the TV either catching up on Japanese dramas or re-watching Doctor Who before Hulu takes it down. It's a bit tiring but at the same time nice to not have a million things to do at once. I can't even remember the last time I was able to actually watch something without being on the way to or from work on the train, or having it just play in the background.
There isn't much time for eating until Ryu gets home. By then, I'm exhausted and just have a basic meal.
