I'm finally all registered for Fall Quarter(!) with:
+ Elementary Japanese B - 4 units (I've taken 2 courses of Japanese so I thought I'd skip "A" regardless of the warning: "must be taken in sequence")
+ English 425: Epic & Legend - 4 units
+ English 402: History of English Language - 4 units
+ Philosophy 152: Ideas of Human Value - 4 units (I think that's the title...)
Total: 16 units (but how quarter units transfer to semester units really beats me...I need to call and ask)
Originally I had English 102 (Composition II, a GE subject), but I'm going to try to petition it or see if the uni I transfer to will accept the English 2 I took at Menlo. So today I had to drop it and it took at least half a dozen tries before I found a class that I could take (most of them are full already). Originally I had just randomly chosen the GE Humanities Social Science class called: Intimate relationships in Complex Society, but right after I registered for it I regretted my decision and changed it to the philosophy class above. I think it's a safer option ^^
Basically I have 4 classes, two per day, except friday which I have off (yay long weekend EVERY week XDDD!!). I don't think I'm going to be working this autumn at all, so I'll have to find a hobby or something to keep me from being bored (or a lot of friends ;3). I wanted to not drive, but apparently East LA is reputed to be so damn dangerous that I'm hereby not allowed to harbor thoughts of not buying a car. Damn. On Friday I'll be checking out a new room for me to move into, and if all goes well I can move out this weekend already! I actually can't wait...Really excited now that I'm over the "aa so lazy"- stage. I'm really looking forward to the peace and quiet, not to mention the privacy of my own room (with all my stuff ^^). Now I just can't decide if I'd like a furnished room or a furniture-less room (for a japanese/korean tatami style xP).
It's only the beginning so I'm feeling optimistic, but I wonder if I'll really be happier this way. I have to apply for transfer already if I want to try to get into SF or SJ state university next spring, and it's possible I won't be able to transfer until 3 quarters later (for summer classes, which is good cause I dont want to take them in LA where it's freakin' hot). But whatever. I'll deal with one problem at a time la~ XD
