[academic] My ACT scores have _finally_ reached their destinations! I made the mistake of telling Mom about all the emails I've been getting from various universities I've applied to and now she's absolutely convinced that it means that I'll get in--sometimes I admire her faithful naivety.
Also, I asked our coordinator for my English Orals (solo) score and it was 26/30, which I _think_ should be the equivalent of a perfect 7. I didn't have the audacity to ask him 'cause he was obviously checking to see if I'd gloat or not, but this is _good_ news 'cause although I don't recall what my Internal Assessment score was, my group oral was also a seven so as long as I don't _fail_ my finals my English grade will definitely be higher than my predicted grade :D:D:D
[manga] I'm tired of yaoi ;__; I have too much of it and I don't want to read it. If I think about this, I've never really liked yaoi; it was just new and interesting. To balance this I was thinking about trying yuri for a change (Girl Meets Girl), especially now that I've read Demon Diary (hilarious) and Fullmoon Wo Sagashite (deep) and am once again; bored.
[anime] So ever since I started reading a helluva lot of manga, I don't have much anime to watch. o.o; Most new series are based on manga I've read (i.e. Airgear, xxxHolic, Nana) and the graphics are never as good as the manga. Also, it's so difficult to start watching any of the new series when you know that you've got 2.3 GB of Rurouni Kenshin, 2.6 GB of Get Backers, full Last Exile (4.6 GB), 19x Black Cat (2.4 GB), full Chrono Crusade *and* all those unfinished series burned on DVD (i.e. Aquarion, Trubasa Reservoir Chronicle, Loveless, Kyou Kara Maou) to watch. Blah~
[movies] On the other hand I downloaded Nana the movie! :D It only took an hour or so, but the whole thing is in japanese so understanding it might be a _little_ difficult, but I figured that since I've already read the series up till the latest chapter; it's not like I don't know what's going on, right? ^______^;;; And I must rant about the movie, 'cause I think whoever plays REN is just too ugly to be the hot-idol Ren >.>; Hachi and Reira are beautiful, but Nana's stage make-up is scary o_o; She looks too punk (or maybe it's just that the music they drew up wasn't punk enough...?) and Nobue's hair is too long ._.; When I checked for quality, I thought it was amazing how hot YASU could look (I mean, the guy who plays Yasu) considering that he had to shave his head for the part XDDD He's definitely 2nd to Takumi ♥ (which reminds me, Takumi in the movie had too short hair T-T).
It's strange, but I'm always looking for a distraction. If I have time to think, if I'm not immersed enough, another set of wheels start to turn in my mind and I'll never get over this feeling of wrong.
