While it's sometimes good news for things to be quiet (it can, after all, certainly mean that no one you know is dead) I'll admit I'm a little glad to be getting some mission news from the Administration. No definite assignment yet, but Godaime-sama did call me in earlier to discuss my team's special tracking abilities on certain terrains. I believe it's a good sign that we'll be getting another mission soon.
Team 8, be ready to move out on a moment's notice. Light packing for at least a week, as usual. I'll let you know details when they come.
There's been rumors of another war with Sound ever since Ino was first presumed dead but so far the anbu squads haven't been able to get any specific information. In fact, Ibiki's disappearance has split their attention and doubled their duty. I don't know what that idiot's been thinking, but if it's anything like I suspect, then he'd better hope I'm not the one to find him, otherwise I'll be sorely tempted to fulfill the hunter-nins' role for them. Does this have anything to do with the fact that he's slowly dying...? As his luck would have it, I'm likely the last person who will find him as I have other duties to fulfill for the village and can't be off doing the work of our special forces.
Anko has been kept busy by Sound War rumors and Ibiki's disappearance as well, since she's one of the Special Jounin who works with Anbu. Quite honestly, the only other jounin I know that I've seen around here a lot is Kakashi. He seems bored, as usual. I'll admit I've been a bit restless myself, but I always manage to find something to keep me busy.
...Maybe he can do me a favor though.
