Katrina
I've been pouring over reports of people stuck in New Orleans all day. The scope of devastation, the loss of human life, and the conditions of lawlessness and despair that people are living in now are just sickening. In my mind, with our military and our state of modern technology and transportation, I never would have imagined people could stay stranded for so long with such a great feeling of helplessness. I was wrong. I hope this gets better before it gets worse.
